Locksmith Approves!
As a locksmith I can say these are brilliant bit of kit opened practice lock and a laptop cable with a little bit of patience. You just need to keep resetting and jiggling it in the lock to impression it and it will open. Same applies to the southords. The tools only go so far but there is also the skills and patience required to allow it to work it's magic.Regarding the review about opening the safe, you need to count the pins and make sure you use the right pick on the right lock. For example a 7 pin pick won't work on an 8 pin lock. These picks do work but you might need a different pick for certain locks. Bear that in mind.Plenty of good videos on YouTube as well to master these picks.

Cheap and cheerful.
Bought these to compare against the SouthOrd tubular picks that sell for significantly more (for a single pick). I was pleasantly surprised that these performed almost as well as the SouthOrd picks, albeit with some slight criticisms.First, these did not come with the screw-in detent installed, so they won't actually work out of the box. If you're new to tubular lock picking, it might not be obvious that you need to find the 3 black rods in the box, loosen the grub screw near the tip of the pick (under one of the sliding blades), and put the rod in the hole inside the edge of the tube, tightening the grub screw once it's in place. The machining is a bit sloppy, so the burr on the hole that the rod slips into might make it hard to insert at first - just apply some pressure against a hard table top and it should go in (but don't bend it!).Second, these picks use a series of silicon rubber bands to provide firm friction on the sliding blades for when you're impressioning the lock being picked (if you don't know how to pick tube locks with these types of picks, Youtube it, there are tons of videos). This approach works, but it is not as precise or reliable as the SouthOrd machined threaded nut, and I'm not sure how long that approach would last. My blades slide quite roughly from the factory due to some questionable finishing QA, but because of the rubber washer construction, I had to use a bit of silicone lubricant to free them up.Overall, MUCH more cost-effective than the SouthOrd set, but they probably won't last as long in regular use and the quality does not compare. They do work though - very well infact. If you're on a budget, you could do worse.

Just a shame that you do not get any instructions and all packaging is in Chinese!!!!

Great tool - high quality.
A bit of a learning curve to use but I was able to open a safe tubular lock in about an hour after first getting this tool. I saved the money I would of had to pay a locksmith to make a house call. The tools are high quality and well made. The clear plastic lock provided is very useful to understand how tubular locks work inside and to learn how to use the tool. There are no instructions so you will have to get that info. on your own.

Doesn't open the practice lock or my actual lock
There's no instructions and from the reviews some have a tensioning bar installed and some don't. Mine came with the tension bar installed and my lock requires one.All the videos on YouTube feature a different brand 'HUK' which these look like but maybe aren't the same? All the videos make it look very easy, these just do not work.Sure they should be able to open the practice lock provided!!

Good pick tools.
Very well engineered pick set. Needs a lot of delicate moving of pins (as is the nature of the locks) but works very well. If, like me, you enjoy picking locks for fun then this is a good addition to your arsenal of pick tools...

L'Ho acquistato per risolverle un problema senza chiavi
Se rimani senza chiavi di questo tipo, si riesce con calma e buona manualità a risolverle il problema e ad aprire la serratura
