Dell OptiPlex 7010 SFF Core i3 8GB 256GB SSD DVDRW WiFi Windows 10 Professional 64-Bit Desktop PC Computer With Antivirus (Renewed)

Two years ago I spent £800 on a Dell laptop with Windows 10 installed on it - it has been the slowest computer I have ever owned - I run a small business and need a good computer but from taking over 15 mins to boot up to constantly being slowed by updates I decided to look for a desktop - with money a bit tight I opted for a second-hand computer tower unit with Windows 10 installed - cue this tower unit for just £130!! It worked straight from the box, took a little while to set up the WiFi (via a dongle) but my goodness it is so FAST! I am chuffed to bits - the unit is in extremely good condition and works how it should - money very well spent!!

Arrived in less than 48 hours, well protected & packaged. CPU was a 3240 not a 3220 so it’s about 5% faster than I was expecting! 8Gb RAM and WiFi dongle included. No monitor or keyboard. Booted fine and looks like a fresh clean install of W10 professional. Device manager checked, no warning triangles, everything’s working. Great value, this is going to be a Linux Mint machine. NB you can add a graphics card BUT it needs to be a narrow (low power) PCB and you’ll need to take the metal backplate off of it. I added a GT 730 which gets its power directly from the PCI connector. I don’t think you could add a ‘proper’ gaming card to this system (not that anyone’s selling them for reasonable money at the moment) because of the PSU (and space). Overall, this will be great for medium/light duties. The Core i3 CPU model is a bit old now but it’s still fast. You honestly can’t go wrong for the money.

Bought this refurbished Dell for connecting it to an old Nikon Slide Scanner and it works like a treat. Really good value for money. Instead of buying expensive new Slide Scanner, I could fit a new extension card for IE1394 Firewire cable and install new software which recognised the old slide scanner on Win10. Brilliant. I paid the fraction of the price for a new professional slide scanner and got the 15 year old one working.The machine itself came with Win10 Pro installed, switched easily to my Microsoft account, updated it easily, fitted new extension card for port all pretty sublime. Speed of the thing is very good as well.Only thing was that the front cover plate and the DVD drive wasn't properly fitted and weren't aligned. Since i had to open the case anyway, i was able to rejig the DVD rom into place and refitted front cover and all working great now.This was pretty much a perfect experience in terms of them sending it to me, receiving it and getting it to work for my little project.Will consider this in the future anytime now! Recommended !!

Can’t fault this, next day delivery,, plug and play came internet ready with a wireless dongle included and power lead. Windows 10 pre-installed, fast processor, different class to my old windows vista machine! For £75 I don’t know why I waited so long to upgrade!!!

Unusual sound when running

To avoid the plant suffocating in a sea of plastic and silicone, there must come a point when we start making less new products and recycle used ones. I'm no eco-warrior but it makes total sense to me to recycle used corporate pcs (some of which will have been hardly used) and sell them to the private market. At £145 it's a no brainer. Can't believe folk pay a £500 for an IBM clone or a grand for an Apple. These used machines can do it all at a fraction of the cost.This machine does everything you could want effortlessly and silently. And it is also very small and tidy. Office, Browsers, Apps run simultaneously and smoothly. Graphics are solid for what I do - couldn't comment on gaming as I don't. Installation was simplicity itself and Win 10 was already installed.This is my second used Dell but the old one is still working fine - I just wanted to update the HDD to solid state and get HD graphics.Save the planet and your pocket!Absolute bargain!

Previous one I bought got 5 stars but this one had a very poor HDD. The PC is very good and my first one had a new WD HDD but this one had a recon/old one, I went to look at it and it said Wiped, then failed but this was crossed out and remove written on it. It worked but was noisy (heard working 'rumble') and with a slight hum to it, probably ok but I didn't want to take the risk so changed it for and SSD I had available. The other PC I bought from Microdream had a new/newer model 250GB WD HDD and that was silent.I would advise checking before buying the cheaper ones and making sure HDD is new. I assumed they would just do that regardless of drive condition as these are only £25 retail (sure they can bulk buy).A real shame as very good value and working fine otherwise so I still recommend them, just e-mail to be sure HDD is new and not recon/old before buying, they reply quickly.

Windows 10 PC works OK so far (purchased in Jan 2024). Don't use for gaming so couldn't give a star rating other than 3. The WiFi dongle connects to my broadband transmitter device OK with speeds of 44 Mb/sec download and 18 Mb/sec upload speeds. Quiet when running and does everything well. Can recommend.

Prácticamente está nuevo y funciona a la perfección. Lo único que no funciona es la tarjeta USB wifi que he tenido que cambiar por otra que ya tenía.

No comentaré temas técnicos porque no soy experta, el informatico nos recomendó éste modelo. Lo utilizamos para trabajar desde casa con un programa de gestión remota y es ágil, muy silencioso (el anterior no lo era) y tiene altavoz incorporado.

Mon fils est très content et moi aussi. Le vendeur est très bien et a l’écoute. La tour fonctionne très bien et il ne manque rien.
