Most negative reviews are from people who don't realize niacin makes people flush!
Great product. Pills could be a little smaller though. The negative reviews are most likely from people who got suprised by the "flush" and thought they were sick. It's totally normal to flush when taking this supplement.

Potent and awesome.
Awesome itchy and tingly flush after 20 minutes of ingestion with warm water. I take 2000mg upon bedtime. This dosage is for seasoned experienced users of many years.This is not for beginners. You need to start at 50mg and work your way up gradually. Research about its benefits to your mental health, cholesterol, etc.First time buyer of this brand as it's the only one that comes in 1000mg. Will buy again.

WARNING
Warning!!! This can give you a bad reaction/side effect. I got warm, tingly, and itchy. Had to call poison control. They didn't even have information for a dose this high! Then as it fades, I got the uncontrollable shivers. And after all that, you CAN'T RETURN IT!!!

This is the one for cholesterol
This is my first experience with flushing and Niacin. The first dose was intense, like very intense. I had a pain in my stomach for about ten minutes followed by the most intense feelings of heat, redness, and increased sensation in the skin. Thankfully that was only the first dose, subsequent doses have had very mild, almost unrecognizable effect. Been on it for a week now, can't wait to see how it will help my cholesterol numbers over the next six months.

Large capsules and extra ingredients
I was happy to find a company willing to provide nicotinic acid in this dosage (1000mg per capsule). I take 2000mg per day and used to use the TwinLabs product when it was available. When that was no longer available, I started making my own capsules from bulk supplement ... though I didn't enjoy doing it. I was hoping that I would like this product better than I do. The capsules are quite large ... maybe necessary to contain the extra ingredients (rice powder, magnesium stearate and silica). I don't believe those ingredients are for any reason other than making it easier to manufacture. But there may be some manufacturing issues, anyway. The capsules in my jar were very coated with white powder. I may have to revert to making my own.
