Functions very well
This GFCI receptacle just saved my bacon. I had one go bad, and installed a new, but ten years old Leviton I found in my parts drawer, only to find that it was tripping falsely randomly and always at the worst time. So, enter this very nice looking GFCI sold by UCOMEN. It was pretty easy to install. I chose it because I wanted to be able to attach wires to it without using those spring-clip style ports that you push the bare wire into and then later you have to play heck to get it to release that wire. I'm not a fan. So, I saw that this model has side-screws and thought it'd be perfect. It did turn out that way, but not before I learned that on this unit, there is no grip plate to hold the wire in place on the side where the screw is. Instead, the rear push-in holes are not for spring clips but rather, the side screws tighten up a grip-plate that engages the bare wire you push into the holes in the rear. Huh. Never seen one like that but I found that it worked perfectly provided you screwed the side screw absolutely tight. So, I'm good and I haven't had one phantom trip of the GFCI yet.

Looks like a GFCI
Green light glows when set, but I only saw the red one flash when I pressed the reset. Light is out when outlet is tripped. Box says both UL and Intertec listed, but the outlet itself has only the Intertec logo. Test and reset work as they should but are oddly quite loud. Well priced.

Good GFCI receptacles
These GFCIs had good instructions included and I was able to install them with no issues. Test button trips them, as it should, and they reset easily. Wires can be wrapped around the terminal screws, or inserted in holes in the back. There are 2 holes per terminal, which makes it easy to connect a down-stream outlet that you don't want to be connected to the load terminals (i.e. you don't want the downstream to be protected by the GFCI). Unlike some other receptacles where you simply push the wire in and you're done, on these the screw must be tightened once they're pushed in to hold them. I actually prefer this because I feel like this results in a better connection, and they're easy to remove by simply loosening the screw. These are advertised as "UL Listed" and "ETL Certified", but on the side it only says they are ETL Certified to UL standard 943 (see photo). So they meet the UL standard according to ETL, but they don't appear to have been actually tested by Underwriters Laboratories. I wanted to point that out, but I didn't lower the rating since I don't see this as a significant difference.

Very nice GFIs
These GFIs are pretty much like the others on the market. They are TR (Tamper Resistant) and WR (Weather Resistant) which makes them great for outdoor use. This GFCI uses a LED indicator light to show the status of the receptacle: Green (OK) or Red (Tripped), so you don't have to run around and figure out which GFCI tripped... you can look for the red light. This GFCI also allows for two different types of connections: Screw terminal or wire holes. The LINE terminals are exposed while the LOAD terminals are covered with a piece of yellow tape (The LINE should always be connected first and the LOAD is for any additional outlets\switches that you want the GFCI to protect). They also follow the industry standard terminal colors: Green (Ground), Brass (HOT), and Silver (WHITE - neutral). As with any receptacle, if you are not 100% comfortable working with electricity... call a certified electrician so you do not risk injuring yourself!!

GFCI Outlet
This is a straightforward easy to install outlet. It is trip resistant. It came with a wall plate and several screws for instillation. It has a red and green indicator light to easily tell if the outlet is functioning.

Good deal for safety
If you’re buying a GFIC at the Big Box Store who shall remain nameless you will pay about $16 per unit. These are available in a 2 pack for $23 and they include the cover plate, which saves another couple of bucks. These seem to have all the same features, indicator lights and self testing with a UL listing. They come with the clearest instructions I’ve ever see for an electrical installation, not that I, as a Real Man, ever read instructions (Seriously, read the instructions) Installation was straight forward although the outlet is fairly large and barely fit into our 1960’s electrical boxes. Installed these in a bathroom and a laundry room but apparently they are rated for outdoor use with a protected outlet cover. We’ll see how they last but I’m impressed. Would buy again without hesitation.

Good price, well made, and works
I got this to replace a failed GFCI in my kitchen. Apparently GFCI's do have a shelf life . This was a twin-pack. Well packaged, with the receptacles in separate soft plastic bags inside the box. The unit is UL rated. The faceplates are standard size, but unbreakable nylon. Instructions are clear and detailed but in English only. Screws for the faceplate and the receptacle wings are included. These are nice units at a good price. Highly recommended.

Great durable outlet
Awesome for replacing those old outlets. This one doesn't feel very flimsy and the plugs stay in and don't wiggle any. Easy and simple installation. Gfi protection works as it should. Good product.
