These are some of the best marking tools I've found for leaving large, bold markings on things you need to identify outdoors. They are NOT a delicate tool, the mark tends to be about 3/8" wide or a bit more once you get the tip worn off, but when you need a permanent mark on something that you can easily read from a great distance, these are very much the ticket! I have both the red and the yellow ones now, and both work extremely nicely. I mostly use them to mark on lumber, although occasionally other random things as well.Be aware, when they say permanent, they MEAN it. Don't use it to mark anything you don't want permanently stained!

They mark everything in any temperature at all. It's great to use for woodworking and for marking PVC pipes. The red color is fairly opaque; it does get darker once dry. The color is more on the tomato-y side of things than a deep and dark fire engine red.

The paint is permanent and scuff resistant. They will have a hard time buffing of this paint for sure!
