I layered two South African coins to create this unique domed necklace . The top, domed coin is a 10 cent piece dated 2008. It is a bronze plated steel coin featuring Arum Lilies, flowers native to South Africa. The bottom flat coin is a 5 cent piece dated 2010, depicting a beautiful blue crane. This coin is copper plated steel. Both coins had the Coat of Arms on the reverse side of the images. The bronze and copper metals made a nice contrast for the necklace. I love how South Africa celebrates their flora and fauna on their coins. The coins you receive might not be the exact coins pictured, but will be the same coins selected from my stock. Dates are not guaranteed. I cleaned, polished, drilled a hole, and gave the bronze coin a slight dome, making it a perfect accent for the larger copper coin. Polishing the coins helped accentuate the images. Everything was suspended from a stainless steel ball chain. The coins hang 1 inch (26mm) from a 30 inch (76.2cm) stainless steel ball chain. The chain can be shortened upon request. A unique piece of natural/coin jewelry, perfect for everyday wear or something special!
