Decent amount of comfort, though you may need to go up a size as the legs are narrow due to the space needed to fit a pad in the pouch.I use a pad with a claimed absorbance of 600 ml's and there was no leaking. I wouldn't use a bigger pad as the weight when it's wet may pull the underwear down. (If you really need a more absorbent pad, wear compression or cycling shorts to help keep them up).
