The SB-5608 is a high performance, professional 8x2 HDMI routing switch designed to switch 8 HDMI sources to one or both connected HDMI displays, monitors or projectors simultaneously. Both outputs are mirrored (identical) to the selected video source. This switcher supports a wide frequency range of 25MHz ~ 340 MHz enabling 1080p HDMI formats and UXGA/WUXGA/DVI resolutions. Control via front panel pushbuttons with LED readout, the included IR remote control, or RS-232 port. An RS-232 Windows-based GUI provides interfacing with third party control systems for complete switching control from a PC. This product is certified as being fully HDMI and HDCP compliant. It is also RoHS approved and CE & FCC compliant. Rack mountable for professional installation. Rack mount brackets are optional and sold separately.

High quality product
I actually have the HDMI 16x2 (16 switched inputs and two outputs) version of this switcher, not the 8x1 version. I use one output to the TV and the other to my 7.1 receiver.This is a well-built product (manufactured in Taiwan). It handles 1.4 HDMI signals without problem. 3D signals pass through without any difficulty or degradation of the picture.I believe the product can be purchased more cheaply directly from Shinybow USA. Delivery from them is fast. Wherever you end up purchasing it, please note this brand new product is sold 'as is' with absolutely no warranty - not a year, not 90 days, not 1 day. I find that highly unusual and it is the reason I downgraded the product by 1 star.Despite the non-existent warranty, the switcher is really quite nice. I have 9 HDMI devices, and the product switches between the devices perfectly. Build quality is very high.Update October 2013: Product continues to work well. When switching connections from one HDMI device to another, I am finding that, after switching, I must turn the unit off and then back on in order for TV to receive the signal properly. Thankfully, there are on and off (separate) buttons on the remote, so it is a simple task.Update September 2016: This device is in daily use and continues to work well.
