More impressed the longer I have it
I've been using this for about a year now. It's an excellent replacement head for smooth floors of any kind, but it's not engineered for carpets, so can 'flip over' easily on mats or other non-smooth surfaces. I have learned to use it on the various carpeted areas, by moving slowly, then it works fine.It fits my DC22 perfectly. The articulation is really good. Another positive is that it doesn't have any of those little plastic wheel thingies underneath, the kind that one always goes missing and I can never find a replacement part. This just has brush hairs, no wheels, but moves smoothly over wooden floors and tiled areas. As a negative, and similar to many competing accessories, it would benefit by having a thin rubber bumper all around it, to prevent it damaging skirting boards. It's hard plastic, and it's so light it's easy to hit it off the paintwork! It weighs the same as 4-5 sheets of A4 paper.Overall, 4 stars, because it's really really expensive for what is a light piece of plastic with no soft bumper protection.

Almost perfect
Got this for the kitchen and bathroom floors.Fits the Dyson V6 perfect and work very well.I did have it on power boost just incase it lost suction due to the brushes and it was fine.Did not realise how dusty the floors where untill i checked the bushes and had to clean them straight away.It does not work on carpets at all, but i knew that before i bought it.

Good for hard floors
Fitted my Dyson dc40. Its quite sturdy, swivels, doesn't scratch the floors and as long as it's completely flat on the floor, it picks up all dust otherwise the suction is not as good. Bigger than expected considering reviews I read. Pleased with purchase.

... it for 3 year old DC35 and it fits fine and works well
Bought it for 3 year old DC35 and it fits fine and works well, my cats hair and dust does get caught in the bristles but that's why it's a brush, things like hair will get caught in it just like anything that's going to brush your floor!! But super easy to clean and maintain, unclip tool turn over pull excessive hair and dust off with fingers or better still do what I do which is run the vacuum over the bristles hey presto bristles clean and tool clipped back on to wand within half a second and ready to go again and now with it being articulating (head moves into loads of different positions) and low profile I now can vacuum under coffee table (mega low) down the sides of cooker and fridge which I've never been able to do without having to shift fridge and cooker over to one side then back over to the other side then level back up again well no need to now and how often do we do that anyway, P.S. Just prior to buying this I had to ring Dyson because the brush bar rotary brush thing that came with my dc35 had started to stop start and when it was working the powerful spinning of the brush was flicking bits of dirt and such all over the place and I needed dedicated hard floor tool seeing my whole flat is hard floor though out so Dyson says to me sorry sir we don't do a hard floor tool for dc35 or dc44 but we can sell you a brand new vacuum if you like sir lol I says out loud and the politely said goodbye and put the phone down.... And bought one of here that fits and works......

Essential tool for the DC59 handheld digital slim on Vinyl Floors
I loved the DC59 Lithium Ion powered digital slim as soon as I got it - but for one thing - the motorised head sucks down hard on vinyl flooring and is hard to push around, while the brushing action just wastes power and feels as though it might damage the surface. No suitable head for Vinyl is supplied with the DC59. Then I discovered this head and it's brilliant, gliding around effortlessly on hard or soft Vinyl. It's useless though on mats and carpet, sticking and flipping over.I have since devised a better brush head than this, with flip-up brushes that instantly converts to vinyl or carpet. Using the 'Iron Circle Adaptor' (£6) I converted a Goblin Aquavac head. There are two Aquavac heads available on eBay, and the one I use is called 'Main brush head with adaptor for Goblin Aquavac' (£13.99). You don't need the adaptor that comes with it, but it has the advantage of a female entry that fits the Dyson adaptor perfectly and it also has gaps in the brushes for more effective pick-up than the other model (just cut away two locating notches with a knife). Result - the ideal head for around £25, which is also surprisingly effective on carpet while saving energy. Another very useful tool that can be adapted (though it's a tighter fit) is the '32mm Horse hair style dusting brush' (eBay £3).

It makes vacuming easier than with original piece
My original Dyson vacum suction head literally sucked my wooden floor too hard to allow it to lift and suck debris underneith. This new head has made vacuming much easier and quicker.

Simply amazing!
We bought this to go with the new Dyson Hoover that was also purchased from Amazon and are very pleased. In fact, its possibly the most useful accessory I have ever bought. It rotates 180 degrees, meaning you can run it along the bottoms of cupboards etc. You can also get it low enough to get right under chairs etc instead of having to move them. We have Kardean (solid floor) in both the kitchen and conservatory and can whip round in no time. It almost makes hoovering enjoyable as it simply glides along.Don't be put off by the price - its well worth the money and will last for years. Having bought several products over the years for doing hard floors, including microfibre mops and wonder mops, this is by far the best. The brushes around the edges do have a tendency to get clogged with hairs and fluff so I would suggest hoovering it with the dyson once your cleaning has been completed. All in all, a fantastic product and a 'MUST BUY' if you have hard floors.
