So here's the thing.. As a Viking, i have to look all manly with long flowing locks of hair much akin to those fancy ladies who often clean their hair under waterfalls whilst making questionable noises similar to those had when doing things that adults often do in the privacy of their own bedrooms...Anyhoo. Back to being a manly viking.. I have long hair, and a big bushy beard, it has been said i bare a resemblance to Rollo the traitorous brother of Ragnar Lothbrook in Vikings, but i personally dont see the resemblance.So what does all this have to do with hair chalks i hear you all scream??Well.. I have a daughter (i also have a son, but in this scenario, he is not relevant, of course he is relevant in the family, and i would never dismiss him in anyway, however, in this case daughter requested hair chalks) A daughter who is a strong independent feminist who, being only 13 years on this planet wanted to dye her hair the colours of the rainbow..Now, as a viking, i would encourage such behavior, run free my spirited child and be one with nature and peroxide, however my day job as a boring parent dictates that instead of raiding and pillaging, i should conform to rules and regulations and as such had to be a giant meanie and say no to hair dye. (BOOOOO! i suck!)BUT! Huzzah! a product such as this can be used as a temporary way of changing hair colours so these magical chalks were procured by the non fun viking way of stealing, but through weird bizarre currency exchange method involving numbers on printed plastic. I don't understand these concepts as i usually just stab people with swords and take what i want, however my young shield maiden, strong independent feminist daughter advised me that violence does not solve anything, and also reminded me i have to pretend to be a "normal" person. So.. long story short, money exchanged, these came in the post.RIGHT THEN! So the reason behind said strong independent feminist daughter shield maiden daughter person wanted these chalks is...PRIDE! Yup, that wonderful experience where people from the LGBTQ+ community get together and celebrate their Charisma, Uniqueness, Nerve and Talent. And daughter mine wanted rainbows in her hair to be part of the festival.So did they work, did the chalks look fabulous on her? Well yes, yes they did! And she was even interviewed on local news with said chalk in hair (Hey, makers of this, you got on the tellybox! hows that for free advertising? Cheques in the post right?)But wait there is MORE!So, back to me, being a manly viking, long hair, beard and all that jazz..I just so happened, in being a responsible and mature parent. decided oh wait, i have long hair too, will it work for me also? The answer to that is yes, yes it did, so there is me, a 40 year old viking, with pink and blue hair, looking like something out of a katy perry video, and i have to say, looking absolutely spectacular! And i rocked that look, i rocked it hard.Now, you may think that this is the end of the review, but oh no... Remember that beard? that manly viking beard? Well a fun fact about hair chalk, is it is best applied to wet hair... and you know what else sticks in wet hair?GLITTER!Yup, so there i am, with a full on PURPLE GLITTER BEARD, and seriously, i owned it. i owned it all, i was, fabulous.And that dear friends is why you should buy this product.(Also, on a final note, and dont ask how i know this, but hair chalks can also be used to temporarily colour armpit hair)

It's for my grand daughter, who enjoys messing with makeup.

The hair has to be really wet for it to work best, not just damp. While it does work on afro hair the effects are not as good, even when very wet hair and it was coming off the scalp for ages after as it's literally just chalk, the dust finds its way getting to the scalp quickly. My son was happy with the effects but I wouldn't buy it again.

These were purchased for a ‘dare to be different’ day at school and the photo shows the rest of them where we were working out the best way to apply.The instructions say to paint on with a brush but we found the best way to apply was simply to dip the very end of the chalk in warm water and ‘crayon’ straight on to the hair. My daughter has almost waist length hair and, as you’ll see the colour took to the few inches from the roots best; I didn’t really try to do the mid and ends as it would’ve taken too long before school. This effect took us around 10-15 mins and daughter absolutely loved it. It stayed on all day but then washed out well in the bath. There was a tiny bit of the pink and blue at the front which stayed in but that washed out after 2nd day bath.

I wouldn’t even give it a 1 star doesn’t work what so ever I followed the instructions down to a T as well

Bought as gift for my granddaughter for Christmas. Came really quickly, very pleased with it.

Bought for my daughters for funky hair day at school but they have medium brown hair and after 3 attempts and numerous colours I give up as just didn’t show up in their hair at all 🙁

24 colori molto belli per "colorare" i capelli a mia figlia. Il colore non dura molto; uno, massimo due giorni e va via. Spedizione veloce. Lo consiglio!

Super für kleine mädchen und burschen die gerne mal eine farbsträhne im haar haben. Aber aufpassen, die haare sind danach sehr rau und filzen sehr. Frisiert sich auch schnell aus, aber macht definitiv spaß und freude für die kleinen.
