don't believe people who claim these came used
I buy many of these leg irons on regular basis. I am very familiar with all restraints from Smith and Wesson and the scratched look on cuffs is from a manufacturing process, not from being used. They literally come new like this, check out the show How it's made "handcuffs" on discovery channel, they show the smith and wesson cuffs factory and how they create the brushed finish of cuffs by tumbling them with abrasive stones to get rid of any burrs or sharp edges for safety of the prisoners. The people in reviews who describe these cuffs as "used" know absolutely nothing about these restraints and don't even realize that they are not meant to look all shiny and beautiful, I mean come on, they are a chunk of metal, what do you want? more so if you have scratches in the moving bow part it can be from the factory actually testing each cuff to make sure it works properly same goes for the scratches on teeth. All I can say as a experienced user of restraints about the restraints from smith and wesson is they are the best of the best in restraints, and very affordable, no company is better.
