Bad is the diameter of the bolt holes in the chainrings. Typically standard road chainrings (53/39) have a 130mm bad Compact chainrings (50/34) are 110 bcd Track ones seem to be 144mm. It would only be important if you wanted to buy a new chainring to go on the chainset & you'd need to make sure you got one with a bcd that matches the crankset.

Q: Does this come with both left and right arms?

Yes it does (it is a shame the other arm is not in the picture). The crank set I bought has remained in good condition after 3 years of use. It is used as a single speed road going mountain bike with road tyres. If you buy the crank set then also buy a good chain to go with it and a decent well matched rear cog. Hope this all helps as the crank set is of good quality and I would recommend buying.

That is a shame there is no selection. I can't recall how many mine arrived with and would not want to be wrong if I said 48t and then a purchased crank set arrived with 42t.
