aerolatte Milk Frother, Satin

I found out about this brand from reviews online and am really pleased with my purchase.Slightly more expensive then the other brands but totally worth the investment. The frother is sturdy where other cheaper versions looked flimsy.Easy to rinse off and store. Battery operated, so can use rechargeable batteries.Have been using it to make Chai and Matcha lattes, not got to the expert level yet but really enjoy frothing up my drinks.I'd say it works better in a taller glass/cup, found with shorter cups the drinks are spilling over the side.Also will have to learn the right temperature for the milk to get it really frothy :)

I had one of these when it first came out and nobody had anything like it. It has now conked out due i think to the fact I got water in the motorThey are lovely and work well just bought this new one

Having owned several cheaper imitations in the past and been unimpressed, this is the business. Froths up drinks nicely, which is a good way to get the kids to drink milk(shakes). Haven't tried it in coffee yet, but I haven't felt the need. The only slight downside is that the frother itself doesn't unplug from the body (at least it doesn't seem to) for washing, so it has to be rinsed under the tap each time it's used (no bad thing either).

I've been using the hand- and piston-driven Bialetti "Tuttocrema" Teflon frother for about 5 years, which works quite well. But I now decided it was time to try an electric one, and my choice fell on the Aerolatte. I must say, that it produced a different kind of milk foam from what I am used to with the Bialetti manual frothing jug. With the Aerolatte, I can watch the foam as it forms, because I do not need a lid to protect from milk spatter. With the Bialetti there is always some spatter, even with the lid on.The way I use the Aerolatte, is to heat the milk in my old Bialetti jug, that is covered with teflon inside, and hence is easy to clean. But for the frothing I pour a moderate amount of heated milk into a 500 ml Pyrex glass mug, no more than half full. Then I insert the Aerolate rotating frothing-head into the milk and move it up and down from the top down to the bottom, and up again, then around the edges and I then use it near the surface for a while, the idea being that froth consists of tiny air bubbles, and that the air has to come from somewhere, which means that the milk's surface has to be set into rapid motion, so that air may enter. I then move the frother up and down, so that the air may also reach the bottom layers of the milk.I am now wondering how long the battery will last. So far, I have only used it for about a week, once a day for breakfast. I am also wondering how long it can last before I will need a new one. It is, however, not very expensive, and so I do not really need to worry too much about that (yet). But I do hope I will be able to use it for at least a year. So I guess I just have to wait and see.With the Bialetti I used to pour the coffee into the cup first, and then add the milk afterwards, and I saw no problems with that. Now, however, with the Aerolatte, I need to start with the foam first, and then pour in the coffee afterwards, in order to achieve a good mixing. The reason is, that the foam is much more uniform now. And if I pour the coffee first, the foam will form a separate layer on top of the coffee, with little mixing. I can make very stiff foam with the Aerolatte. So stiff that it feels a little bit like whipped white of egg, that can be transferred more or less as a solid substance with a spoon.

I didn't intend to write a review of this as I have four before this one for which I would give five stars. As Amazon make it so difficult to write about anything that's out of return time, I am writing here.This Aerolette has been a problem from the start and with hindsight I should have returned it within it's three month allowance. Clearly something was wrong with the battery function - sometimes it didn't start at all, sometimes it worked, sometimes if I took the batteries out and put them back in it would start. Sometime it wouldn't go at all. I kept it out of the cutlery drawer in case something metal was interfering with the batteries. Frequently changed batteries, cost me a fortune in batteries! When I finally decided I was fed up enough to return it, it was out of time. As I was taking the batteries out to throw the item away, I noticed that the handle of the Aerolatte was melting over the battery site. I think I'm lucky I haven't had a fire... I can't say don't buy one as they are normally super little gadgets, but don't be daft enough as I've been to keep a defective product instead of sending it straight back.

I bought this to replace one I had had for several years which came with a protective case for storage. My new one, stored in the same protective case , has lasted just less than 2 years and will no longer turn on.Having paid a premium for what I considered to be a good quality product, I am very disappointed with the brevity of its useful lifespan.

Aerolatte Satin EditionThis is an amazing piece of ingenuity. Who needs to go out for that expensive 'Latte' or 'Cappucino' when you can create the same at home... This little beauty is also good for whisking up your milk shakes, even after starting the the tradtional fork.. whisking your scrambled eggs. It's not a heavy duty whisk but really is a must in the kitchen and this particular model is top of it's tree. The 'Aerolatte Frother' has pride of place and is used frequently in my kitchen..

This little frother, which will not replace a mini-blender, performs exactly as advertised. I use it to froth hot chocolate, and stir mixed drinks (ice tea, lemonade, etc.). My first Aerolatte lasted about eight years. It finally quit two days and ago, I ordered a new one immediately. Great product.

Piccolo e facile da pulire bastano 5 secondi sotto l’acqua . Io lo uso con il latte di soia e fa una schiuma migliore di quella del bar ! Tanta e densa ... buonissima !!
