First of all I have to state that pocket fans can only do so much, so if you expect things like a force ten gale, no pocket fan on earth can do this. The whole idea of a pocket fan is to give, usually your face and neck some light relief. I would like to point out this pocket fan is more powerful than the Fan U, this is because it is slightly more chunky than a Fan U, so allows for about as big a fan as you can get away with, for a pocket sized fan. The other advantage of it being a little more chunky than a Fan U, is it has a more powerful rechargeable battery, so between 6 to 12 hours operating time with this fan in use, well I have to say it’s pretty good. Okay with smart phones as big and powerful as they are, it might only top up your phone say by half or three quarters, but still in this day and age if you left home with a phone battery fully charged, giving it at least a 50 per cent boost, if needed in an emergency by using this as a battery pack from the USB port, I mean surely for moderate to even heavy phone users, that should be more than enough. Now because this has a chunkier casing compared to other pocket fans, it will suffer knocks and scrapes far more easily than say a Fan U, but like any other electronic device, if you drop it on the floor especially a hard floor, then like a smartphone expect it to be damaged or break. You can use the fan and charge your mobile phone at the same time. You can easily use this fan on any setting inside, whether it is in an office, a shop, or on a bus or indeed any enclosed space, for that it’s as perfect as you can get using a pocket fan.Now outside depending on humidity especially, then sometimes the effect will be reduced, but even with ordinary big fans if humidity get beyond a certain point, all any fans will do is blow air that is too hot in your face. I would say for the UK outside use, with the summers we have generally, this face fan will be at least adequate to very good. Remember it’s a face fan not an air conditioning unit, or a wind machine. I have allergies so I wouldn’t want a force ten gale blowing in my face anyway, but I know from using it today it helps give me bursts of light relief.

Bought this fan for holiday in France where temperatures reached 38 degrees. It was absolutely brilliant - fitted in my handbag and very portable. I used it on and off all holiday- restaurants, places of interest where no air conditioning, trains and basically anytime the heat was becoming too much. Recharged it overnight through usb so no worries about power running out. 2 settings, quiet and can be either hand held, or I sat it on the table and you can direct the cool air towards you. Thoroughly recommend if you are going somewhere hot and you think you are going to struggle in the heat.

I am a lady who has reached that age where I am suffering with "hot flushes". This fan is a must! I take it everywhere, restaurants, holiday, beach and also I have it at the side of my bed. I recently went on holiday and everywhere I went people where asking me what it was and as soon as they tried it, they were so impressed they were ordering it before they left! The only little downside is that the small blue lights stay on when in use so I tape it up at night, also you cannot tell when it needs charging until you put your charger in. That said, I would not be without it and I have purchased one for my sister. I can't believe it actually stays cold even on the beach!! I'm so impressed I have it at work now to show my fellow colleagues how good it is. Buy it, you will take it everywhere and to top it all it's also a charger for your mobile device too!

I have used a paper fan for the last few years as I suffer from overheating at times, but needed to get a powered one as my hand and wrist have become sore due to a trapped nerve. I decided on this one as I wanted one which could have the angle of the air flow changed when required, but unfortunately although the outlet can be moved up and down slightly, it can't be clicked into place and held in any other direction than directly forward.Aside from that, it is a good fan. Powerful, yet small and portable enough to carry around in my bag.

I’m not very good with confined spaces and need to have a good flow of cool air round me. During a recent trip to London, the return train was packed with passengers. It was a really hot day, the train had no windows to open and very poor air con. I felt really ill and almost passed out. All I needed was some air flow over my face and I’d have been ok. Having looked at many different pocket fans I decided to go with this. I’m really really pleased with it. Small and compact and great air flow. Battery life fantastic. Really wished I’d have brought one before. Highly recommended.

Update: Customer service kindly contacted me to resolve the issue with this item. Their response was quick and courteous. They offered either a replacement or a full refund. Given my experience, I opted to take the refund. I have upgraded the rating from 1-star to 3-stars, purely on the merits of customer service received. I would still advise caution, however, when operating the device. If it gets excessively hot to touch on charge, or shows any sign of expansion to the casing, unplug, stop using immediately and contact the seller. But as with anything, it is possible my issues were caused by that 'one-in-a-few' manufacturing defect.Bought this fan and never used it due to travelling abroad, so it was stored as purchased after testing once to check it worked. Upon returning to the U.K and with the recent heat wave, decided it was time to give it a go. The first charge worked as expected, though the unit got very hot and the fan made a terrible noise. The battery wouldn't hold a charge, so it didn't work for long.Contacted the seller seeking advice as the fan would not turn on after a second charge, but had no response.A third part-charge produced a bulge to the casing on the side of the battery, very hot to touch and a chemical smell. Immediately disconnected from charge, and left unit outside to let it succumb to the rain before throwing away.Very disappointed with this purchase, considering the cost.Not a safe item. Be wary, potential fire hazard!

L'ho acquistato anche per mia figlia che non soffre il caldo come me , ma visto quanto lo uso io, l'ha gradito molto e lo usa In occasioni del suo lavoro in ambienti affollati, trovando refrigerio.Personalmente, quando ho troppo caldo, lo dirigo verso le tempie e mi dà un beneficio immediato.Si può anche graduare l'intensità. Per me è indispensabile.
