Great juicer

Fantastic juicer. Have tried, apples, carrots, celery and ginger so far. The pulp comes out almost dry. Lots of parts to clean but it does clean well and very easy to put together.

Best KitchenAid attachment!

Have wanted this for ages and finally splurged...you will not regret it!! We now make juices 3 times a week. I bought 1L milk bottles so we can make a batch and keep some for later. It's amazing how little pulp comes out compared to standard juicers - maximising your juice and minimizing waste. Really easy to clean - parts disassemble and a quick rinse is usually all that's needed. This is a slow juicer so if you see reviews saying it's slow that's because it's designed to 'slowly' produce juice. Flavors are incredible and so much better than store bought juice. We barely prep - certainly no peeling (except a light removal of the rind on citrus) and removing stones otherwise we just cut into large chunks and juice. I have a number of the KitchenAid attachments and this is the one that is now almost permanently attached to my mixer, the best by far!

Not fit for purpose

Once assembled it works for about a minute. As soon as there is any pulp or seeds in the bowl of the juicer (which don’t come out the pulp spout is easily) it backs up and the lid pops off. It is then a nightmare to remove the lid and juice extraction is minimal. I’ve tried every combination of fruit, sieve size etc and it’s useless, combined with a complete pain to clean after a frustrating experience. Going to have to replace it with a £1000 macerator. Wouldn’t wish this on anyone.

A pain to clean if you want to use it more than once a day

The juicer works well but if you want to create juices throughout the day then it's a real pain to take apart, clean and put together again for the next juice if you are cleaning without a dishwasher, however I guess if you just want one juice a day then it is fine. The chute isn't large enough to take whole apples and if you want to juice greens you need to mix them with a firm carrot or apple to get them through. Best to juice on about 5 or 6 setting. You need to be careful when attaching to your mixer because the unit is fairly heavy and on 2 occasions has started to come out of the fixing. Also when attaching the lid it takes a bit of strength to get it to click closed. The cleaning brush arrived with the bristles splayed but it doesn't really matter as its not that great for cleaning the parts anyway. On saying all of that it makes great juices.

Great value

Perfect juice maker. It literally does remove all liquid from vegetables and herbs.I found that you can't compare press juice makers with regular ones, it's different league. My kitchensid juicy maker is made from very good quality plastic and metal. The design is great : it's super easy to assemble and easy to clean. It takes me normally up to 5-7 min to wash it all by hand. Didn't try dishwasher as for me it's easier by side.On a regular basis I am making carrot juice, mix of kale, apples, pears, ginger and turmeric .I would recommend this model . If you have a Kitchener mixer its great to have juicymsker as well. Just under 200£Separate gadgets cots around 500£ you will get a juicy press,

Mine was faulty?

I love my KitchenAid mixer and I've got other attachments but I think I was unlucky here.I used the attachment twice. Both times I juiced carrots, apples, and oranges. The juice was delicious and the pulp practically dry. But that's provided you can make it work!To start with, both times I found it really difficult to click-close the lid. I aligned the arrows, followed the steps, even watched a few YT videos to see if I was doing something wrong – and yet ever time the lid would not sit on top of the bowl properly. It wobbled on the spike, instead of falling into the groves. I had to apply some pressure to finally click-close it. The first time, I managed to open it with some pressure but the second time – it took me nearly 30 minutes!! It felt as if both parts had fused together. It shouldn't be the case, I thought.I do believe I received a faulty part because on top of that the drip leaked in the closed position. Not a few normal stray drops. Upon inspection, I noticed that there was a gap between the 2 main parts and juice just leaked through it! Such a waste. Also, the blade seemed sharp enough but I found whole slices of apple in the sieve. This is not the quality you'd expect from KitchenAid. Clearly there was some fault in the part I received. Disappointed, I returned it to the supplier for a full refund (I haven't received it yet, as I only sent it back yesterday).

Fantastic equipment.

Fantastic equipment. Now make life easy n no need to spend fortune for juice. You can do our own juice and sauce and they taste much better and real without any additional things like what u can find in the juice you buy in the grocery.
