Good quality, nice convienant size. Dependable
I have had this pump for 6 months now and it has been running permently with no issues. Small pond and small waterfall about 1m high from base of pond to top of water feature. I have placed the cable in an old water hose and buried a few inches under the ground. Standard UK plug. At present I have not had to clean the pump, UPDATE 12 months later still going strong, apart from occasionally removing leaves etc from around the pump left in situ no other maintanace required. Would recommend. UPDATE 24 months on still going strong run 24/7. I have modified my pond since and made larger. Low maintanance as only check around casing every 6 months or so. Good water flow continues to 'power' my waterfall/filter box combination.

My second Jabao now. These are quality affordable pumps
My first Jabao finally died after 4 years. I've never cleaned it, so perhaps it might have lasted longer if I had. There were big lumps that I pulled out of it but it refused to work after this. It was the same power level of 3500 litres per hour, except the older model was 25watt and this new one says 16watt. The time before this it was 50watt, so they keep getting more and more efficient each time. Perhaps the running cost will pay for this new replacement over time. It's also smaller now, which takes up less room in a small pond which I have. The flow rate looks around the same at pushing the water through a huge filtration system up an approx 2ft high waterfall.Time will tell if this lasts, but I will drop back in to mark down if it does fail within 4 years. That's about the expected life span of such things I would think, especially at this price. The thing that impresses me the most about this newer model is that it doesn't have a power brick! No DC transformer in sight at all. It's as if it's an AC motor because it's a fairly small motor which connects straight to the mains! They did not supply a plug so that's not great (just so happens I always keep a spare) but it should be hard wired in to a waterproof junction box/switch anyway. This needs proper installation on an RCD so requires a competent person who knows what they are doing to install. I have mine on a temporary plug in another outdoor waterproof socket until the weekend when I can install properly (if it ever stops raining!!)I'm so happy the thing doesn't have a power brick as my installation has the wire running though conduit buried in the concrete and under a tonne of dirt round my rockery. A sealed power brick such as the last one had would have made it impossible to install a replacement.I love these pumps as they are so simple and virtually maintenance free. I run for years without cleaning, and this is with the odd grass clippings and garden detritus getting into the pond throughout summer and autumn.

So far great pump
The pump arrived a day early which was great, itβs been up and running now for an hour, and I can truly say it runs silent and pumps a good volume of water, mine supplies two water features, water is pumped into a pressure filter 2 ft above pond level then down a waterfall about 6β wide, it also pumps water to an ornamental urn, which is the other end of the pond about 8ft away, it copes no problem at all, itβs early days yet but so far I am well pleased with the pump.ππ

Failed after two months.
Serious failure - admittedly the pump was very quiet, but now it's totally silent - after two months of use it's died! The pump trips the electrical supply and an electrician who tested the installation found earth-leakage somewhere within the pump, but impossible to trace as naturally it's sealed against water. We started with a Hozelock Titan 3000, which lasted about four years; then got a Wil-Tec that lasted nearly five, so I wasn't expecting any pump to last forever, but two months is not acceptable. I didn't get a chance to test the claimed flow rate (3500L/hr), but it was significantly less than the Wil-Tec that was supposed to deliver 4000L/hr. The pump was only lifting water about 40cm, so it wasn't doing too much work; I'd estimate it would be hard pressed to pump more than 2.5 cubic metres in an hour.

No working please refund
I brought this in may and as soon as I put the pump on I knew something was wrong. I reported this to you and Amazon. You did nothing about it . No just 7 months later it has completely stopped working ,I'm surprised it lasted this long as it was damaged. water keeps changing and every few days need to take out and reset . There must be something broken I side but unable to return

3500 ltr pump
It's a big pump, Bigger than equivalent Hozelock 4000 pump.It is quiet, mine used the same hose fittings, the pump comes without a plug, so be prepared. It seems to be easy to split case to clean pump. Time will tell when it gets grubby !I thing I have done is .......... made a loop with paracord through case to lift out of water, lifting pump by the hose probably would be dodgy !Report on reliability if an issue.

Worth every penny.
This pump makes the expensive one look sick, works brilliantly and fantastic value thanks. Now been running for a year and a half, handles solids so well needing very little maintenance, definitely makes the more expensive pumps of similar size a waste of money, very highly recommended.

Excellent
A very good pump. Has plenty of power. I stripped it down before installing it this was easy to do so should be easy to clean when necessary. I have fastened it to a small plastic basket to lift it three or four inches from bottom of pool so it sucks up less rubbish. Very happy with it hope it lasts a long time. Time will tell.
