I have had these scales for a month or so now and they have proved to be excellent. I have read some of the previous negative comments and find it difficult to agree with them particularly their instability.

I held off buying the first version of the scales based on some negative reviews. These though are really good. Only one niggle is that when weighing in stones/pounds what shows on the display and what is shows in the app are different. I have logged it with Qardio and it is a bug - they are fixing it.

Just sent the second one back for a refund. Thought the first was faulty and returned it, but the second one was the same. It is supposed to recognise each user when it is setup properly. It doesn’t. It nearly always defaults to “guest mode” and just records your weight only. (it should do all the fancy fat, muscle, bone and water analysis,) You can assign that “weight only” reading to a user when you get off the scales and it is supposed to recognise you eventually after a few such assignments (according to my customer service email enquiry reply), but it doesn’t. We sometimes got it to work with only one user but two users was not possible for it. I spent a long time, many times, setting and resetting up the base for each user, and the mode and a full reset or two but to no avail. I gave up. ☹️

I purchased this product directly from Qardio Europe’s website, although it ended-up being fulfilled through Amazon, so I feel it appropriate to post here.Initial observations are that the QardioBase2 build quality is quite impressive and the unit feels sturdy, solid and stable under foot. Apparently QardioBase2 is a step-up (no pun intended) from the previous version of this product (QardioBase) which was reported as being unstable, and the device wasn’t rechargeable.QardioBase2 set-up to an IOS 11 device was quite straight-forward, as was Wi-Fi. I already had the Qardio app installed on my iPhone as I have been a satisfied user of their Qardiocore ECG monitor. I provided the baseline parameters (sex, height, age) and completed the first-time set-up successfully. All seemed good as I stepped on and off the scales, as the icon on the Qardiobase2 reassuringly winked at me, and duly displayed the results on the app, along with body fat, muscle, bone and water %.At this point I was ready to give my purchase a 5, however my balloon was popped after adding a second user. This Involves the second/subsequent user(s) downloading the Qardio app to another smartphone device, registering a separate user account with Qardio, then completing the same installation process (associating/pairing the new device and first-time weigh-in). It would now appear that the scales differentiates each user by weight, so when two different users of similar weight (within 5lbs variance of each other) weigh-in, QardioBase2 is unable to correctly identify the user and will record the weight against either: the first registered user, or the second registered, or on other occasions as a ‘guest’ user. The guest user detection isn’t a huge deal as you are given the option, at the time of weigh-in, of assigning the result to either of the other registered users via a foot-tap on the scales, or post weigh-in through a ‘claim’ function on the app. If however your result has automatically been assigned to an incorrect user at the point of weigh-in, then you don’t get the option to reassign the recorded result to a different user, and you have no other choice but to delete the recorded weigh-in result altogether.In summary, QardioBase2 has difficulty distinguishing between multiple users who are close in weight. If you are buying this for a single user, or for multi-user usage where there is more than a 5lb weight differential between each user, then you probably won’t experience the auto detection limitations I have described, and will more than likely be quite happy with your purchase.07/07/2018: Since originally posting this feedback, Qardio’s customer support have provided me with a firmware update that has helped mitigate the multiuser issue reported earlier. Although auto user recognition isn’t possible where you have two users of similar weight (within 5 lbs) At least I can now assign the weigh-in result to the right user via the foot-tap manual selection capability. I would say the capabilities provided by the QardioBase2 and the app more than offset this limitation.

It's ok. It's been a real pain to connect it to Wi-Fi (about 2 hours of endless trials and errors) and I couldn't tell you what made it connect in the end, but even then, it doesn't always connect when in daily use. If multiple people use it and don't have the app opened on their phones, the scale keeps track of the measurements, but then the next time any of us uses it with the app opened, we get all those measurements loaded in our phone, regardless of who used it (so no privacy if that's a concern, and a bit of a pain as one then needs to manually delete the wrong entries. So now we have to make sure we have the phone and app in use before using the scale in the bathroom, which turns out to be quite an inconvenience. The rest seems to work fine. The scale has been used for about a month now with no need to recharge it yet so at least the battery is good.

Love this scale. Except when I see my weight ;)

very nice, but slow to show data

I was in contact with customer support and am happy to say my issues with the product were resolved.The scale is attractive and well built. The original product received after several rounds of support was defective but my replacement came very quickly and works perfectly. Has very useful metrics and the app is very clean and easy to use.Thank you Qardio for replacing the defective unit. Great scale overall.‐--------- updated--------I can't give this more than a star until I get support from Qardio. Until then it is an expensive paperweight.I bought this for the additional body composition metrics and they simply don't register. I get weight and that's it. I could buy a $20 scale for that. Reached out to Qardio but only got an acknowledgement of my query.The troubleshooting faqs seems to suggest this is a common issue and users should reach out to support.The scale itself is nice, but if it has common issues and you can't troubleshoot them, not sure why anyone should pay $200 for this.Will update if resolved

E' molto ben curata: dai materiali allo stile. Il software funzione bene e così anche la connessione. I dati poi sono accurati. Innovativa. Ottima l'idea di mostrare sulla bilancia dei smiley invece dei dati che rimangono comunque consultabili sull'app, ma si può impostarla diversamente visualizzando i" numeri" direttamente sulla bilancia. La quale ha un led sotto la superficie. L'app funziona bene su iPhone e Apple Watch. Non misura solo il peso ma analizza anche la composizione corporea. C'è anche una modalità per le donne incinta e per chi ha problemi cardiaci. Il manuale completo è scaricabile sul sito. Tuttavia l'app guida l'utente passo per passo. Ricaricabile con il cavo usb fornito in dotazione, e la durata promette un anno di utilizzo. E funziona con Salute di Apple, trasferendo i dati in automatico. Consigliata. Davvero bella e utilissima.

Die Qardio Base 2 ist definitiv die mit Abstand hochwertigste Waage die ich je hatte. Schon die Verpackung wirkt absolut edel.Die Einrichtung ist wenn man der Anleitung in der App folgt auch relativ schnell erledigt. Ich kann mir vorstellen dass es für Diejenigen die das erste Mal ein smartes Produkt per App einrichten vielleicht eine etwas ausführlichere Anleitung hätte sein dürfen, aber trotzdem sollte es relativ leicht verständlich sein was zu tun ist.Die App ist für mich die beste ihrer Art. Ich habe viele solcher Waagen und medizinischer Apps durchprobiert, diese wirkt dabei professioneller und ausgereifter als viele der Konkurrenz-Apps.Die Werte von Gewicht und Körperfett etc. stimmen bei mir sehr genau mit beim Arzt gemessenen Werten überein. Das erwarte ich aber auch von einer Waage dieser Preisklasse, denn das trifft auch auf eine Waage zu, die ich für 17,99€ bei Amazon erstanden habe.Die Statistik in der App über Gewicht usw. ist sehr übersichtlich dargestellt.Für mich ist es die perfekte Lösung, weil sie auch auf Teppich das richtige Gewicht zeigt und die Benutzer selbstständig erkennt, ohne dass man einstellen muss wer als nächstes auf die Waage steigt. Das spart Zeit und Nerven.

Qardio has made a good product even better. I had previously purchased the original QardioBase when it first came out and just bought the new QardioBase 2. Qardio has fixed two of the issues I had with this new model. Setup with the Qardio app was easier than the first one and the QardioBase 2 doesn't wobble! It's much sturdier and even better, now includes a rechargeable battery via a USB cable rather than using AAA batteries.The Qardio app is a breeze to use and I appreciate the weekly reminder to step on the scale. Just step on the QardioBase 2 and it syncs all of the data to your phone. I love the fact that it doesn't just measure weight, it also tracks BMI, fat and muscle making it great to see workout progress. The app is easy to use and shows your latest measurements as well as your current progress for the week with a smiley face to let you know if you've lost a little weight over the week. You can set a goal within the app and easily track all of your progress and look at it as a graph or show all of your history. Highly recommended.
