The product I've been waiting for! My hair grows fast and the cut I favor is pretty basic, so I have visible gray/brown roots for a month to six weeks before I Need another haircut and color. The Pure Mineral Root Concealer allows me to touch up my roots and gain that extra time between salon appointments with confidence.I like that everything is organic. I like that now I can postpone the salon color process which is definitely not organic. Best yet, application is a snap. The container has a perforated clear plastic insert so you just shake it or tap it against the counter and the just right amount comes through to swipe onto the applicator brush. Without that plastic barrier it would be way too easy to spill the powder. At first I thought the brush tip was too small, but I soon realized it was the perfect size to control the application. It helps to hold up a hand mirror so you can see the crown of your head. Brushing your hair afterward from the roots blends the color but doesn't brush it out.The color I ordered--If I remember correctly, brown was the only option for my color range--is a good match for my medium to light brown hair with highlights, but it does contain the slightest reddish tint. The color is pretty true to the picture. The reddish tinge was only apparent at the part on my scalp. It was easy to blend it in with a few longer brush strokes of the powder on either side of the part and maybe one or two in my bangs. Like adding low-lights.The color stays in place between shampoos; in my case that's every fourth day. It does not look powdery at all. It did not rub off on my fingers. This is just a guesstimate, but it looks like I'll get dozens of uses from this $15 purchase and save 25% on my yearly salon bills. All in all, except for wanting more color choices, I am totally satisfied with this purchase and will buy again.

Some reviews commented on the red not being red, I disagree. The red is definitely red! Great color match for me. I just have to learn how to brush it onto my roots without getting it all over my scalp. On the scalp is not a good look but hopefully in time, I'll get better at applying it.

Messy container, ends up with lots of black mini-spots all over face. Hard to imagine what a face looks like if you were using this to cover graying roots or thinning patches of scalp hair. Maybe if you used this first, then a Neutrogena makeup remover cloth before trying to put on more makeup. Hard to say since I did not use it on my scalp.. seemed to stay intact for 24 hours without coming off on a white pillowcase, but again used only on brows.This may take some experimenting to get right. Since it comes in black, where Joan River’s “Great Hair Day” darkest color is a brown and the price is a relative bargain, this is definitely worth trying.

Good color, but the amount supplied will make it impossible to get a proper test of the color. Seriously, I was shocked when I opened the package and pulled out this tiny pot. Note the size of this product against a full size product from a competitor. The price for the two was essentially the same. I'm better off buying multiple pots of varying color from the competitor and blending the colors to suit. That is precisely what I'm going to do going forward. I'm sorry to dump on a small business, but honestly. This was ridiculous.

I GOT THIS IN A MED BROWN WHILE MY HAIR WAS MED BROWN. THEN I WENT TO DARK BROWN SO I GOT A DARK BROWN AND MIXED HALD AND HALF. I THING A DARK BROWN WAS TOO DARK, I ALSO USED IT WITH A BROW BRUSE AND LOOK REALLY NICE. NO TALC IS A PLUS.

I ordered dark brown because I have dark brown hair and I still thought black would show too much. The product came this morning and first of all the powder does NOT stick to hair at all! if you apply repeatedly, the powder will fall down and stain on spot on your scalp which looks terrible. This basically is an eye shadow repurposed as root touch up. Since dry wouldn't stick to my hair, I dipped the brush in the water and it started to covering my hair. After I was done covering my hair (which was all over my forehead and hands too), I realized that the dark brown color I bought is strawberry blond! its super light and has lots of red in it. I look horrible today and I spent lots of time on it and couldn't jump back in the shower and had to go to work looking like that. It looks like I've put reddish-blond henna on small parts of my hair! It also comes off on your finger tips if you even lightly touch it. I gave it two stars because its a natural product and not full of chemicals

Gives some coverage to grey roots and bit of volume to my fine hair…..will definitely purchase again!!
