Great read
Nine years after she was taken and three years since she’s been freed, Isobel is a shell of a person. She lives only for revenge. Her brother has done as much as he can but it is up to her to finish it. Find the man who broke her, the man who she’s spent every waking moment plotting against, the man who saved her life. This book is DARK. Like dark in a way that it is almost not enjoyable. We don’t see the worst that has happened to Isobel before she meets Hunter but there’s enough shown that we can imagine. The mention of her scars and where they are on her body, you know this girl has been through it. And let that be a lesson to writers everywhere, the theatre of the reader’s imagination will always be worst that anything on the page.Fast paced with plenty of spice, this book will for sure heat up your kindle. Like these two are at it every other chapter and I am here for it. My only gripe which I also had with the first book is that we know NOTHING about them outside the confines of the book. Sure Isobel was a kid so not very interesting, but I would love to know more about Hunter. Like how did he become such a badass, does he have family or a cool mentor or did he just pop out of the ether already perfectly formed. My heart BREAKS for Kingston because **SPOILER** he doesn’t get a HEA in either book. Won’t say more than that but man, what a gut punch. Great read. Would recommend. Even though the title is to be stand alone I feel like you need to read book 1. Yea the conflict as is presented in this book is self contained but the connection between Kingston and Isobel isn’t as fleshed out, particularly as it connects with their uncle, so read the first book.

liked better than the first book
So I actually enjoyed this book, much more than the first. Can’t say I was a big fan of the ending as it just didn’t seem fair to Kingston. To grieve someone once is bad enough. Also toward the end it seemed like the storyline stalled and it was just sex scenes, one after the next.

Hunter & Isobel ❤️
You gotta love a committed man. Whewwww HUNTERRRRR.The love this man had for Isobel, even with her murderous rage angled towards him. Lex is still my favorite book boyfriend from Ria but Hunter is a close second. My girl Isobel, wow. She gave bad a$$ a new name. She refused to break (she did a teeny bit because of Hunter's betrayal but she was going to kick his ass for it anyways lol) and I just loved that about her. I'm so glad she got her HEA with her villain.

Hunter is the psychopath you fall in love with!
I was obsessed with Isobel in the previous book because of how strong she was. She definitely did not disappoint in that area with this book and she certainly met her match with Hunter. We got to see snips of her past which were really tough to read at times. You will definitely need to check the trigger warnings for the book cause some of the chapters about their shared past were a little much for me but very important for the whole story and the whole world that Ria Wilde has been creating. One piece of the book that I did find frustrating is that the majority of the book is about their past and the whirlwind reconnection they are having. Isobel was traumatized and hurt over Hunter's role in her past yet Hunter left her to save her and loved her from afar. Thankfully the book is in dual POV so we get to experience Hunter's devotion and obsession with her just as much as we experience her inner struggle to accept what Hunter's role was and what he is doing for her now. In a weird psycho kind of way, it was super sweet. IYKYK.By the time we really saw them turn a point in their relationship, we now were thrown into a very action intensive portion of the book and I wished that we got to see that part much earlier in the story so the plot could really thicken and be much more than her struggle to accept his love for her. I think overall I just wanted a bit more balance between the part about their relationship development and then the connection and involvement in the bigger plot line. The epilogue for this book really did wrap up the story pretty well and tie nicely into the twisted cities duet too so I'm not sure where the author is headed next in this universe but I'm hopeful that some of the supporting characters will find their HEA too.

Dark & Spicy!
Isobel and Hunter's story is no fairy tale. Full of darkness and spice, Ria Wilde took me on a fun ride with this one! Check your TWs prior to reading, this is dark :) This is the second book in the Wreck & Ruin Series, but it can be read as a standalone.Ria Wilde takes us back to London within the reach of the Syndicate with Savage Heart. Hunter was her motivation to live once...until he betrayed her. Isobel isn't the same girl that she used to be and her hunger for revenge is insatiable. Hunter may be a ruthless villain, but whatever semblance of a heart he has belongs to Isobel.Hunter & Isobel have a fire burning within them and their passion is off the charts fueled by some deep and gritty emotion. Together, they are unstoppable. Will they burn the world together or simply burn?Ria - I'll just stay in this world for the foreseeable future.

You have to read this
This book is about vengeance. Isobel has been the direct victim of the story’s villain, and she is out for blood. Hunter is her weapon, even if she is hell-bent on breaking it. I was blown away by the intensity of their relationship. They played on the extremes of love and hate that didn’t seem like a line but a circle. Where one ended and the other began was difficult to see.The Syndicate, the sinister presence for the entire series, is finally revealed with all the darkness that the author could muster. You will be surprised by the hate you’ll feel for them. The thing about Mafia Dark Romance is that no one is innocent, except a small child. I knew the extent of the absence of morality that Hunter possesses, but faced with the love he felt for Isobel, I could only go misty-eyed with his no-limits barred approach for Isobel.I will definitely add it to my re-read pile.

Hunter and isobel were fire...
Completely blown away, Ria has done it again.Savage Heart is Book 2 in the Wrech & Ruin duet, however it can be read a s a stand alone.I absolutely loved Issy and Hunters story, Savage Heart is my fave book in the duet. This is a deliciously dark read, a drama filled romance with lots of suspence, twists, action, unresolved feelings, chemistry, and all the HEAT that will leave you wanting more.Hunter and isobel were fire...

Review
This last story was incredible.....Isobel means to kill Hunter for his betrayal but discovers she still has feelings for him. As he explains the past three years, she gets on side with his plan. Kingston agrees and together, Hunter and Kingston will finally take out the remaining heads of The Syndicate. Great action scenes, very emotional and a great ending...
