Easy to install, good quality and looks good

I bought this to replace an old shower curtain rail (not the same make). Very happy with my purchase and it looks great. Easy to fit and the tip from another reviewer about marking the rail with a marker pen once you’ve got it to the correct length for the space was handy, as once you then add the extra 2.5cm and begin twisting the rail to lock the length in, it would be easy to misjudge and end up with the wrong length without the mark for guidance. Another reviewer mentioned that the C shaped metal rings don’t fit the pole as the end caps are not removable to slide them on. However the plastic chrome effect do fit as they have some give in them.

I bought this shower curtain rail in NOV2018 and I've found it to be stable and sturdy. Initially I used it for a lightweight shower curtain, but it was able to cope with two shower curtains used together - a plasic curtain on the inside of the bath, and a cloth curtain on the outside, with double the number of curtain rings. Mine was the 'stainless steel' finish, and the only thing I would mention is that it does gets rusty after a few years, hence the 4 stars instead of 5.I've just painted the bathroom and am replacing it due to the rust patches, however the replacement will be with another of the same as I thought it was very good. :0)

Our old shower rod was looking tired and had started to show signs of unsightly flaking rust, so we decided it was time to purchase a new one. I took a good look at the ones available on Amazon and came to the decision that I didn't want a bog standard, plastic-coated steel one like the one we were replacing. Eventually opted for this stainless steel design and I have to say the wife and I are very happy with our purchase. It's sturdy and first impressions are that its been manufactured to a high standard. Installing it was a cinch - just twist the slightly narrower inner rod anti-clockwise, pull it out so that the overall length is 25mm longer than the wall gap you intend to fit it into, lock it in place by turning the same inner rod clock-wise and then pull back that extra 25mm in order for it to 'squeeze' into the wall-gap and gain the required tension to hold it in position. I have to mention that,compared with our previous rod, this one holds much tighter to the wall using what the manufacture states is a 'constant tension' patented design. I usually shy away from any DIY around the house, but even I managed to take the old rod down, fit this one in place and attach a shower curtain to it, all in the space of around 3 minutes! So would I recommend this product? - yes, I absolutely would.UPDATE: 17th November 2017I wanted to address an issue that some customers may have had with this pole. We have had ours in place in our bathroom for 6 weeks now and have started to notice a few rust spots appearing. Please be reminded that, despite its name, stainless steel does occasionally produce surface rust - that's a fact! However, this morning, I took a cloth soaked in vinegar and removed the offending spots easily. As an extra tip: on other stainless steel items, more stubborn stains can be treated with an equal quantity of lemon juice and baking soda - make it up into a paste, apply to surface and leave on for 15-30 minutes before wiping off. By the way, this update in no way affects my view of this product. I still believe it's worthy of 5 stars and would still recommend prospective customers to purchase one.

Great quality, nice and strong if the rod is level and adjusted correctly. For such a compact and discrete fixture, it is highly functional, offering a rather generous drying capacity when used with suitable hangers. Thanks to the slim profile, it can be easily stored away when not in use.I have successfully used this rod to dry machine washed laundry as well as to drip dry hand wash items and wet coats. As you can see from the photo, the rod is mounted across an 86cm aperture and can handle 6 thick towels and 2 tea towels, all are damp and just removed from the washing machine.Unlike those typical foldable laundry racks that are footprint hungry when unfolded and too bulky for storage, this tension rod doesn't congest any floor space and demands hardly any storage space.The adjustment is pretty easy but the instructions could be made more clearly for less DIY savvy users. This may sound silly to some people, but it is important to note that if you want to adjust the length after the rod has been locked, you must twist it the opposite direction to UNLOCK before sliding the rod to the desired length. Twisting of the rod to lock & unlock must be made only to the section with the sticker, this is the MALE rod.The rod can sometimes be tricky to unlock. If you encounter this issue, you need to create grip by wrapping each rod end with a rubber band and then twist.Although the rod comes with anti slip caps, they are sometimes not grippy enough and the rod can still slide slowly when it is not installed 100% level and also loaded with excess weight. To increase the grip, I have glued the ends with rubbery material for lining kitchen cupboard.UPDATE: Having experimented with this rod for a bit, I realise there is a weight limitation. For my aperture of 86cm, I believe the maximum weight this rod can handle before collapsing is one more damp towel. ( About 7 thick towels is max). I have tried to add a few more but the rod slid down slowly and collapsed after about 15 minutes.

Seems to be well-made, not a cheap flimsy product and seems sturdy with no likelihood of bending. Nice brushed steel finish, easy to install in a couple of minutes. I’m not very strong and I managed to put my two poles in place quite easily. I used them on Velux window alcoves to help block the street lights at night when the windows are open and it’s working really well. I’d recommend.

Cette barre est tout simplement un indispensable ! J’ai trouvé une utilisation géniale en la plaçant au-dessus de la porte de mes WC pour y accrocher un rideau et préserver mon intimité. Fini les regards indiscrets de mon voisin d’en face ! 😄🚪Mais revenons à cette barre : rien à redire, c’est un bon article ! J’en suis totalement satisfaite et voici pourquoi : • Installation facile : après avoir saisi le principe, le montage est un jeu d’enfant (même si être à deux est plus pratique). • Stabilité garantie : depuis son installation il y a presque 5 mois, elle n’a pas bougé d’un millimètre. • Style élégant : le fini chromé apporte une touche chic à ma salle de bain. • Résistante à la rouille : contrairement aux rumeurs, pas la moindre trace de rouille, même après plusieurs mois. Juste un peu de calcaire et de poussière (comme on peut le voir sur les photos). 💧👌Pour des projections d’eau minimales, placez-la bien au-dessus de la douche. 🚿🌬️Niveau prix, pour cette qualité c’est totalement acceptable. Deze douchegordijnrail heeft niet alleen een luxe uitstraling maar kan heel wat gewicht dragen. Je klemt 'm zonder boren in een handomdraai tussen de wanden. Ook betegelde wanden vormen geen probleem voor deze douchegordijnrail.

Easy to instal (no tools required) and it looks great in my home office.
