Good value
The chanter is quite good, but as a previous reviewer commented, the two reeds supplied are useless and cannot be blown. However with a better chanter reed the chanter is quite good and worth the money.

very pleased
This arrived very quickly. Before the start date of the estimated arrival in fact.It is well made and works as it should. The bottom end needs to rest on a surface as you don't hold the chanter of bagpipes. The bag holds the chanter. So find a surface at a suitable height.I found this very hard to get started with. Making the sound you want is not simple. Youtube has fingering and tips on getting started but don't expect to pick this up and start playing tunes with it. The fingers on my right hand struggle to cover the holes. Some of that is because I am used to playing clarinet and my fingers naturally space themselves for that instruments, but even so, the little finger is further away and causes difficulty for me. You may or may not have the same problem but if you do, don't give up. Spend 5 mins several times throughout each day trying to make one steady sound 10 seconds long with all fingers covering holes and the lift the little finger up to continue holding that pitch for 10 seconds, returning the little finger down again for the previous pitch to return for 10 seconds. At first you may not cover the hoke on the little finger's return, like me. The moor often you do this, the more your brain and hands learn and correct themselves until you can do it without as much effort.Expect it to take a long time to learn the practical side even if you are already a musician and pick up the theory of it quickly.Hope that is useful information. I would recommend this to others.

Absolute rubbish
Both reeds were poorly made, extremely rough and scratched. The blow stick unscrews too easy and keeps falling out. I bought this for a child to practice blowing but still expected to be able to get a tune from. Bottom hand notes just choke and sqeek. Reeds don't work in an actual chanter and proper reeds still couldn't get a tune from the horrific chanter. Had Low expectations given the price but would still feel robbed if purchased for £1. Terrible product overall. Don't buy this ever.

Unusable reeds
The chanter itself was a beautiful instrument but neither of the included reeds were usable.

Awful
Absolutely rubbish, sounds like a bloody duck whistle and makes no notes! Just one continuous duck sound no matter the notes you play! So disappointed.

Sconsiglio
Ho il dubbio che sia un giocattolo. Non tanto per le ance che mi sono arrivate con lo strumento ( pessima qualità) ma anche per lo strumento stesso
