The quality of this set is perfect. Robust, well weighted, stylish, and will serve me well for years. However, I was hoping from the advertisement and the pictures that the light pieces were going to be a wooden color. It is not. It’s natural-kind of cream color. I wanted a simulated wooden color to provide better contrast than white on a white and green vinyl board. As it turns out, the pieces are the same off white as my board’s light squares. This makes it a bit harder for me to recognize pieces quickly. Otherwise, I can’t complain. Good set. Just know the colors are accurate.
