Q: does the mesh fabrics have punch-through holes, or is it mesh-looking cloth?

It is a fabric that has a mesh looking weave. No holes punched through.

Q: Do these tend to slip in heel? I had similar shoes that fit otherwise, but heel kept slipping. Is there any heel padding to stop this?

They don’t slip in the heels on my feet. I do keep my shoes laced and tied. Just received my second pair of the same shoe but in a different color.

Q: Where are these manufactured? I don't want 'Vietnam or China' I want which country. Are you aware these are two different nations?

Made in China according to the tag in the shoe.

Q: Are these great looking shoes washable?

I haven't done it, but I think they would be if you used a gentle cycle. The leathery material on the back is synthetic, so shouldn't be damaged by washing. I would air dry, however.
