Does the job perfectly
I spent a lot of time looking for a capo to use with my acoustic guitar. At the end of the day, it came down to a choice between a Kyser trigger style capo, a G7th, the Shubb or one of the various cheaper capos which might have done fine.I went for the Shubb because I was confident that it would work well (make sure you get the right model for your guitar), it is nice and small and doesn’t get in the way at all, it doesn’t put things out of tune, won’t damage my guitar and it it will last me a lifetime - you can even pick up replacement parts for it.I didn’t buy a cheapy because the savings weren’t worth the risk of wasting money. The Kaiser is nice, but is more obtrusive and gets mixed reviews - perhaps not surprising as you don’t have the same option for adjustment. The G7th was tempting, but I don’t need the ability to change between guitars and unlike the G7th the Shubb is so simple that there is nothing to go wrong. The downsides with the Shubb for me is that I can’t practically park it behind the nut or clamp it to the headstock and it isn’t one handed super-quick change. This will matter for some performers, but not for me.I’m really pleased with my purchase. Easy to use, works perfectly, doesn’t get in the way and has a quality feel.

Adjustability is key
You need a capo than can provide enough pressure without clamping too hard on the guitar neck, strings and frets. This capo provides exactly what I need and can be used across all my 6 string guitars. Excellent design, high quality and easy to use.

Best capo I've owned
This capo is great. It's compact and lightweight, but more than sturdy enough for the job. Made of stainless steel, looks like it will last a long time. The joints/pins could be a bit better, but that's nit-picking. The roller on this 'deluxe' version is a big improvement over the rubber pad on the standard Shubb capo, and makes it very easy to fit and remove the capo. The slight radius on the main arm means it clamps all six strings perfectly, helped by the hard (rather than spongy) rubber sleeve. (Make sure you buy either the curved or flat version to suit the shape of your fingerboard). I've previously used bulky and/or fiddly capos. This one is neat, unobtrusive, and very easy to use.

The best capo I have ever owned
Maybe it’s the elegance of the design, or maybe the quality of the build but this is definitely my favourite capo. I have two of these and have also tried most of the other well known brands but for flexibility, fit and adjustability Mr Shubb done good. Also works as a kind of worry bead when you want to de-stress.

Best capo I have ever used.
It very small and easy to use, only reason for not giving 5 stars is you really need two hands to move it but it is worth it, I have been playing guitar for over 50 years so as you can imagine I've used many capos but this is by far the best and keeps perfect tuning does not cause any noticeable sharp notes. Worth every penny and is now the only capo I use, and I have some that I paid a lot more for.

Great capo
In the quest for a dependable and functional capot I have travelled through many manufacturers and designs but Shubb seem to have it licked. The variable pressure facility, the lack of bulk, the ease of use and the simple clean look all go to make a great capot. You can even order and replace the rubber fretting pad. This version has the long lasting finish to keep it looking great and as I expect to be using this for many years it's worth the money.

Favorite capo
The shubb is a classic, solid design that will last a life time. I much prefer this to the more prevalent clamp style as it feels more secure with the adjustable tension, is smaller, and easier to use for people with less hand strength.

Excelente

Well worth it .
For $30 or so .. this is the best engineered and performing capo I've owned . The only capo of 5 I've tried that works on thin fast necked electric guitars .Intuitive to use and easy adjustment with a thumbscrew . The rolling wheel on this Shubb model ensures even pressure across the neck, which is why I chose this model over their other ones, which may not perform as well .My search for a capo is over and the build quality on this is so good - I have no doubt it would last a lifetime - though you would probably have to replace the rubber, which would likely not be difficult .

Excellent quality, with a big con
The quality of this capo is incredible, BUT......it is for studio or home use only. In a live environment it gets extremely difficult to attach and remove this capo on the fly. It has been relegated to my home setup, and I went back to my old trusty capos for live shows.
