The blanket is a bit skimpy for a double bed.

There was nothing wrong with the product, I cannot comment on the warmth of it, I returned it. I found it so thin that you could clearly feel the wires through it and I knew it would be uncomfortable, for me personally, to sleep on. Having said that, it could probably have a blanket of some kind put over it to make it more comfortable, although I think this may affect the warmth factor. I must say though, that when I decided to return it, they could not have been more helpful. I had my refund dealt with straight away. I would always recommend Morphy Richards as a tried and trusted brand, and have many of their products in my home. Just a wee bit disappointed in this particular one

We were fairly satisfied with the blanket, the heat output being satisfactory. However, we couldn't seem to stop it moving across the bed and we had to reposition it several times. Sadly, it stopped working after only four months. I got no response from the seller despite an email, trying to phone them and via Amazon. As a result, Amazon asked me to send it back to them and said they'd refund me once they'd received it. We've always been happy with Morphy Richard products and it came as a surprise when this blanket failed so quickly. I'm just glad that I purchased it through Amazon: their customer care has always been excellent.

The blanket is about the length of half mattress, you secure in place by long pieces of blind cord. So brace yourself to lift the mattress to Thread the cords underneath.The block that connects the power supply to the blank from the blanket to the control unit is quite chunky (very secure though!) and we’ve have had to move the blanket further up the mattress so the Power block is now under a pillow otherwise you are laying on it.The cable from the power block to the control unit is very short. If you use a fitted sheet you do not have free access to the control unit. We have had to move to flat sheets so we can get a hand up into the control unit to change the setting.We have only used setting number 1 to varying degrees of success there are times that I can turn the blanket on and come back hours later and I don’t feel that it’s actually made any difference at all. Last night we had it on setting number one when we came to bed the bed was so hot we pulled the duvet back To let some heat out. Go figured that one out?I bought this because it’s morphy Richards. But I don’t think this is to the usual standard of this manufacturer.It turns out that my father also had this Electric blanket in a double and he also had the same experience as I have and he had returned it to Amazon/Morphy Richards for a refund and bought an alternative product from another store.I very rarely say this in my Amazon reviews - I don’t recommend this product. Please do not be swayed by this being produced by Morphy Richards because they are as previously stated this is not up to their standard

I like the simplicity of this. Just does what is needed. Bit awkward to fit strings to hold it, but they definitely keep it in place. It is very soft and flexible, you can't feel it when lying on it. We put it on about 20 min before getting in then turn it off shortly after.
