Great multi use
I always mix my own 'glue' for sugar art/flower etc. and this PME product never fails and lasts a good while. Great also for making flower paste and Pastillage or turning fondant into modelling paste. A must-have for any sugar art. Great product.

A really useful product for cake decorating
I wanted to make some fondant models for a cake. The fondant just kept collapsing. It was frustrating and very annoying. The more the fondant was handled, the warmer it got and the worse it became. So I did a spot of Googling and discovered this product. I have to say it was fantastic. A mere sprinkling on a piece of fondant, work it in, and it instantly firmed up, making it a lot, lot easier to make the little fondant birds I'd tried for hours to make the day before. I made the models in minutes thanks to this Tylo petal powder. It was very reasonably priced and the jar of powder will last for ages. Thoroughly recommended. By the way, I'm an amateur cake maker. I only make a cake once in a blue moon. Probably why I didn't know about this before.

worked well, travelled a long way with the cake in the car and it held well, got it there in one piece.

Brilliant
I'm a novice Baker and only bake for my kids birthdays and odd occasions. I didnt know about adding tylo to normal fondant to make the toppers hard. I've previously made toppers without this powder and they lost shape as they were drying. So I did some research and voila this powder helped mould better and also the figures retained their shape and dried solid but still soft enough to eat which was a bonus as my kiddies love eating the figures too

To use with fondant
I use this powder to create fondant figures for celebration cakes because it makes the fondant firmer to work with and speeds up the drying process. We don’t tend to eat the figures but they will keep for several weeks and allows me to make them in advance.

Great profuct
Best Tylo powder. Makes sugar paste more elastic so can use it for modelling (cheaper than gum trag) - this stuff is very fine. You do need to kneed the paste really well as it takes sometime to develop. Possibly best left to work overnight. 1tsp is sufficient for about 250g of sugarpaste so will last for ages!

Product worked as it should
This was my first time of using tylo powder and my trial run seemed to work quite well. I was disappointed however on the shelf-life of the product sent out to me as it is out of date in a few months time. Whether this is normal for this product or not I don't know but given that you only use a tiny bit of tylo in fondant to harden it up it would have suggested to me that it should have a good shelf life to the item. Shame.
