Meh
They're OK but I wouldn't like to do many of these at a time and will keep them for the odd job when nothing else will do. If I planned to use them more than a few times I would be looking for something different. but I won't look forward to it and would rather look for something better. The punch is useless as it wouldn't punch through thin or thick leather or even a stiffish cloth, irrespective of what I used under the material to be punched. In the end I used an awl which tapered to a wide enough diameter make holes of just the right size. Also the male punch slid to the side when hit with a hammer and ruined springs on two of the back ends. The smaller two pieces were the only ones to fix first time with no problem. When you can manage to get them done the finished article looks quite good, at least the bronze finish ones I used did, haven't tried the silvered finish ones.Overall, I could only recommend these if the plan was to only do the odd one me every now and then. Perhaps when absolutely necessary to do a repair or when nothing else is available. Otherwise I would look for something better if one planned to a fair few of them for personally I wouldn't look forward to doing most or all of just the thirty included in one go.

Excellent piece of kit this
Excellent piece of kit this. Three packets. One for 15 silver coloured popper sets one for 15 brass coloured, and one for four tools. There are no instructions so you have to work how the four components of each popper set fit together. It is reasonably obvious after a bit of study. The tools are very effective; you will also need a small hammer to do a good job. Don't make the mistake I made of using the hole punching tool against the small round metal anvil because this will ruin the cutting edge of the punch. Use a piece of soft wood or thick cardboard under the fabric youre punching a hole in. Luckily I am a carver and have sutable tools for resharpening the punch after I wrecked it.

Easy to use
Easy to use, gives good results. Just follow instructions to letter (or diagram).

Doesn’t work properly!
Unfortunately it doesn’t work. The hole punch tool is blunt. I followed the video exactly, noting that the person does it differently in the two examples shown, I tried both ways and neither work, they’re either not secured properly or if they’re secured they don’t fasten together correctly. I tried over and over and it still did not work wasting about half the fastenings I was supplied. Very disappointing.

Instructions
I too didn't know how to use them so looked on youtube. The problem was that I couldnot find a video which used the same make of poppers as the ones I had purchased on Amazon. So I decided to look back at the photos on Amazon in case I had missed something and it was then that I realised the second picture shows you which popper goes with which, DUH! After that, its easy to fathom out which tool to use for each pair of poppers (you need a hammer/rubber mallet)I successfully fixed a few sets but they don't hold as tightly as I need them to.Maybe I am doing it wrong after all!p.s. The thinner bradawl tool with a hole in one end is for making holes in leather.

Good quality poppers
Good quality, but smaller than the 12mm stated size suggests. If you need very firm hold on a jacket for example, you might need the 15mm ones. I have these 12mm ones on a roomy, soft jacket, so they aren't under strain and they are absolutely fine. You need a hammer to force the hole-making tool through your fabric. It wouldn't go through Velcro, which is very tough, so I drilled through it first.

Works well.
Its great, does a good job. I did have to spend some time on YouTube trying to work out exactly how it works. I used this to work with leather, it "just" worked, the leather was quite thick, so it paid to hammer the leather to squash it a bit so that the poppers did a good job. Other than that good thing.

Impressed 😊
Received this product the day after I ordered it. Impressed. .... usually we in Northern Ireland have to wait days for delivery. First brownie point for seller 😊. Second brownie point, and by far the most important thing, is the product itself. Although no instructions were included, everything needed to use the studs was, (only thing I had to provide was a hammer and the garment I wanted to alter ). The 4 piece tool kit was quite easy to figure out, and within half an hour of receiving my item, a cardigan, which had been destined for the recycling, had a smart silver fastener and a new lease of life. 😊😊😊
