Epic fail when replacing bulbs
I've had three sets of these lights. Much to my chagrin, I had to bin the first set because, when I replaced the bulbs that blew (yes, including the white fuse bulb), the whole set just stopped working. Had to bin 'em. (Yes, I also checked the fuse in the plug.) But I really liked the warm old-school light they gave off, so I decided to buy TWO more sets. I'm afraid to say that history repeated itself. I just couldn't get them to work again after I replaced blown bulbs. Do yourself a favour: see if you can track down some Noma vintage-style fairy lights. They blow quite regularly, but they do actually still work when you replace the bulbs.

Fabulous Lights!
Lights are just like those from the 70’s! Going to look perfect in our retro house! You can keep your cold LED’s, these are just so warm and a true Christmas colour from back in the good old days! Buy them, you won’t be disappointed!

Completely encircled a small dining room, lovely traditional bulbs.
These lights appear to polarise folk into either 5 star or 1 star reviews. For me they were exactly what I wanted to replace a string of lights that has been around our dining room picture rail for quite a few years. these fitted exactly, and it's the old style not too bright warm glow that I wanted for indoors (I've a string of battery operated LEDs in the garden and they are very bright). They're indoor lights fitted with a mains plug. It's in one large loop with a short light free section to the plug - this wasn't long enough to reach from the picture rail to the low socket so it needed an extension. The wire is green, the bulbs are replaceable and there are a few spares in a bag taped to the cable. You expect these bulbs to blow or work loose every so often, which I guess makes some folks critical when their lights stop working. I also kept all the bulbs from my old lead so now have over 100 spares - just as well as some folks charge silly money for half a dozen spare bulbs. However I've only just pinned these up - should we experience any problems with the lights I'll update the review, but for now they're absolutely perfect, and at a tenner with next day delivery an absolute bargain.

Pretty and cheap, but not worth hassle
I rarely post negative reviews but these lights really aren’t worth buying. The first set we had failed after two days on an indoor tree. We ordered another set, intending to return the faulty ones, but realising these may not arrive before Christmas we persevered with the failed set. After changing four bulbs and a fuse bulb, these worked again for several more days, before going out again. The replacement ones have now arrived, but will be returned unopened after Christmas – can’t face that hassle again next year!

Broken!
I bought these this year because I wanted more traditional looking Christmas tree lights. They worked when I put them on my tree a few weeks later but then died before Christmas while on the tree. I managed to replace the master bulb and they worked for another couple of weeks until they died (for good this time) a week after Christmas. Replacing the master bulb again will not revive them this time. They are fully dead after only owning them for 2 months. Considering the short amount of time I have had them and that I bought the protection cover, I have a right to a full refund for these awful lights! Do not buy them!
