I really struggled with reviewing this gel. I wanted glue, like super glue gel and what I got was a very flexible holding gel. For short straight hair, I wouldn't recommend this because it didn't give me the separation and spikiness that I wanted. For any slightly curly hair or moderately longer hair though, it's amazing. It will hold your hair in place but leave it flexible enough that it can move but also bounce back into place. One thing I did notice was that no matter how much I overapplied it to my hair, I didn't really get the gel flakes that I usually get, even when I forgot to wash it out before going to bed.This is really a more mature hair gel for actual styling rather than glue to turn my head into a spikey weapon, I wasn't quite ready for that. I do find myself appreciating this the more I work at it, it's no longer the gel I grew up with.

I ordered these hair gels as a more compact way for my husband to do his hair in the morning for work. He has always kept a very large and bulky tub out on the counter which takes up a lot of space and he has often complained how it was so cumbersome on the counter. When I saw these small travel size containers I knew immediately I had to order them for him. He had never tried this brand before but often complained how some of the brands not only make his hair too wet, but also don't have a very good fragrance to them.These however, have an amazing apple like scent, and they make his hair look natural and not very wet at all. All. He absolutely loves this stuff and says as soon as it all runs out, which shouldn't be for a while, he would like to order more!Sizes are perfect for travel or even just keeping in a desk for a touch-up at work for that impromptu meeting. It would be great for teenagers to keep in their lockers at school. Or even just to keep in your bug out bag for random travel occasions. Overall for the price point and how many you get, it's well worth it.

If there's one thing you don't have to worry about, it's running out of this stuff any time soon. I'm able to use it however I like for styling purposes. Liberally or minimally. And in either case, it's going to be a long time before we'd ever have to get more. And that's ideally what you want, is to not have to make any trips to the store just to get more. The hold properties are good, but it's not overdone or something that will leave your hair "crunchy" feeling like cheaper gels.

It does the job I need it to do, it has nice scent and no flaking.

You don't need to use a lot of this to get hair styled (~1-2 tsp) and hold in place for shorter straight hair so a single travel size is lasting a few weeks. At that amount it holds most of the day (+-10 hours) if not windy or sweating. It does leave your hair stiff to the touch even in small amounts but that seems to be the case with any product like this. No scent and has the same texture and feel as Aloe Vera gel used to sooth sunburns.
