Fantastic cream. The best day cream I have ever used. It makes your face look somehow younger immediately. The silicone in it and probably the light reflectors?. ..Anyway, I am impressed.

This very expensive, lightweight, highly fragrant jar packaged SKIN-ABSOLUTE DAY® Ultimate Rejuvenating Day Cream from French brand Filorga is big on very elaborate claims and is probably best for normal, combination, and slightly dry skins not prone to sensitivity.It contains a lot of ingredients, some even intriguing, among them are emollients like glycerine, shea butter, and some plant based oils, along with emollient silicones, skin soothing, condition, and water binding ingredients, texture enhancers, free radical fighting antioxidants including vitamin C, E, and arginine, skin restoring sodium hyaluronate, and skin replenishing B vitamins and amino acids. These are all good to see in the formula, but many are unfortunately in low concentrations.Where this cream takes a few missteps for me is firstly with the unnecessary lingering added fragrance, which could be an issue if you have sensitive skin, in fact, this cream contains far more fragrance and preservative than many of the helpful ingredients. Then there are the lack of any high broad spectrum UVA/UVB sunscreen actives, which are essential in any anti-ageing day cream, but admittedly this could be used under an SPF product or used as a night cream; the formula also contains a lot of delicate ingredients that are not fully supported by the unhygienic jar packaging.Why Jar Packaging Is A Problem.Good modern skin care formulations include antioxidants, cell-communicating and skin-repairing ingredients. However, you won’t get the benefits of these ingredients to your skin if the product you are using comes in a jar. This is because these ingredients are not stable, which means they won't be effective if regularly exposed to light and air, which is exactly what happens when you take the lid off and on a jar. Hygiene is, of course, another issue; dipping your fingers or a spatula into a jar transfers bacteria into the product, which also causes the important ingredients to further deteriorate, making them less effective. Skincare products really need to be in an opaque tube or airless sealed pump dispenser, particularly at this price point. Non credo alle creme miracolose, ma di tutte le linee che ho provato negli anni (e ne ho provate tante), Filorga è in assoluto quella che mi dà più soddisfazioni. La crema da giorno è molto ricca e cremosa, ideale per me che ho la pelle secca. Devo dire che mi sembra anche migliore della crema notte. Certamente la pelle è più turgida, compatta e idratata.
