Many people are happy to just use regular straight SATA cables, but I just find that there are so many occasions where a right-angled cable can be routed more cleanly, as well as providing a better fit. I cannot stress enough how important clean cable routing can be to keeping your system cool; I've seen several ºC difference between cases with a spaghetti mess of cabling that are then cleaned up later on, and hard drive cabling can often be the worst since the drives are usually situated near the front of a case, and too many people just get lazy when it comes to connecting them, even people who have taken meticulous care installing all their other components with the best fans/coolers available.These particular cables are good quality, fit nice and firmly, and contrary to the title are perfectly fine for use with SATA III drives (all "SATA I" or "SATA II" cables should be). However, I'm only giving these 4 stars as they're closer to 40cm in length than 45cm; not much of an inconvenience since I always order about 20% more length I need, but it's something to bear in mind if you don't want to jump up to 60cm or longer.

Needed to add a hard drive to computer and on opening cover found I needed another sata cable. Looked these up and they were very low cost but other reviews were good. They arrived quickly, were the right length and fitted perfectly. They have been fitted for a few weeks now and thy work exactly as expected. I would not hesitate to buy again. In fact I have bought another lead!
