The depth of field is loverly with a nice bokeh. Fundamentally what this lens is though is ...
If you are expecting a sub £100 Leica killer then look elsewhere... however for the money this lens is hard to beat. The construction is superb with a well damped focus ring and metal barrel. The aperture ring is clickless which takes a little getting used to though. As for the results, dead centre is tack sharp however it does become a little furry towards the edges and occasionally you might need to correct a little for distortion however these are just minor quibbles. The depth of field is loverly with a nice bokeh.Fundamentally what this lens is though is fun... its not perfect but it actively gets you to engage in the process of taking photographs and how you want the photograph to work.Photograph shot RAW on a Fujifilm X-E1 at 1/125 sec, F4 and ISO3200 with mild post processing for contrast, sharpness and noise reduction in Lightroom.

Great value, takes nice photos, but corners are very soft, hard to focus
First of all you need to consider the price..... which is very low. But its not a bad lensFirst the good points- its very small and light- centre sharpness is good- colours very niceThe negatives- far edges are terrible - but only the very outer edge if you zoom in- Bokeh is a bit busy- hard to focusMy only main gripe is focussing is not easy. It will focus past infinity and focus peaking works less well on a wide lens. The lens doesn't snap into focus that easily - so on the Fuji you really need to zoom into the image to check that your focus is correct. This is more of an issues when you are focussing in the far distance, close up, its far easier to focus.But... you need to consider the price. I have a Mitakon 0.95 and that is much easier to focus - but costs way way more -once you realise you zoom to zoom in to check focussing if say focussing at say 7-8 metres away, its not bad

Great value.
Really good manual focus, metal, well damped with good image quality and fast f1.8 aperture. If you want a small discrete lens for street/travel giving close to the well liked 35mm (37.5mm) field of view, (this is actually smaller than the Fuji XF35mm f2).I find it really easy and convent to use, note there is no click setting on the aperture ring just one smooth movement, presumably for video makers.I have mine mounted on an X-T20.

Solid manual focus lens on a budget
I bought the 25mm f1.8 for my Fuji XPro1 and it's a great lens when you consider the price. It's very compact and light. It's got a silent aperture ring. Focus is smooth (there's some very minor "sticking" at one point but it doesn't affect operation/performance). I'm getting some great results with it. I can highly recommend one of these lenses, especially if you don't want to splash out £100 plus.

This lens is a bargain, its well made and ...
This lens is a bargain, its well made and performs well for the price even wide open at F1.8 although there is slight vigneting but can be corrected in software, the photos were taken wide open at F1.8 on a Fuji xpro1

Sharp, small, cheap
I'm pleasantly surprised by how nice this little lens is. Although theres a small focus drift in the elements when you pull focus by hand - it's still a huge pleasure to use. The lens barrel is mad-small though which often results in trying to grab just infront of the lens, but it's just due to the incredibly compact design.

Great lens!
Bought this as an antidote to this automated world. This is a manual lens that really forces you to think about the pictures you take with.Really enjoying using it. Congratulations to 7Artisans for making such a charming piece of hlass

Great Manual Focus Lens
glad I purchased this lens, looks great on my Fujifilm X-E3 camera and great image quality at such an affordable price. If you are a pixel peeper, you will not like this lens. It is a soft in the corners of the image, but I don't mind this, the lens has character. Deff worth the price I paid for it.
