Andrew James Electric Salt and Pepper Grinder Set, Battery-Powered Pepper Mill with One-Touch Operation, Adjustable Coarseness & LED Light, Refillable Ceramic Salt, Pepper and Spice Grinder

The grinders look very nice and are easy to use.Each grinder takes 4 x AA batteries and to use you just press the button the top of the grinder to operate. So glad we bought these, as they are very easy to use and a real benefit for a family member who found our current hand operated grinder difficult to use due to arthritis.The grinders come apart into 3 pieces, the top outer sleeve, the motor/battery housing and the pepper/salt grinder base. It is easy to twist and pull apart. You will find it easier to fill the grinder if you use a funnel as the small hole around the grinder stem is the only entry point to the grinder (see picture).Once filled and assembled, you can make the grinding coarser or finer by turning the little butterfly screw at the bottom of the grinder.Though there is a light at the bottom of the grinder which comes on when operated I have personally not found the need for it as when using I am generally in a lit room and the light is not that bright.The base of the grinder has a cap to stop any remnants of post grinding pepper/salt falling on the table, just remember to remove when grinding, or you will be wondering why with all the grinding nothing is appearing until you then remove the cap and find it full :)A great grinding set and also buying one for family as it works well, looks good and have previously had a very good post purchase experience with Andrew James..

Received this Salt and Pepper mill set within 3 days of ordering. Inserted batteries but neither would work - so contacted Andrew James to complain... The customer service team were really professional and promised to replace the set. I then discovered that although new, some of the batteries I had used were faulty (having checked them in another device)! I sent another message to retract my complaint... These are excellent salt & pepper mills. Powerful and of good design. I particularly like the fact that they have a detachable base that means you don't get spillage when not in use. Be assured these are quality mills and thanks so much to the AJ customer support team for being so understanding when it was my fault that the mills, initially, didn't work!

Although the illumination feature is certainly handy, this could lead to frequent battery changes if used often. It would have been more environmentally friendly and cost-effective if it had a rechargeable option.Also, while the 2-year manufacturer's warranty adds a level of security, it would have been nice if this was extended given the overall quality of the product.

Best electric mills I've owned, powerful, adjustable, look and feel of quality and I also have other items from this brand.I do seem to find faults with most things, but pleased to say, not this time, would recommend this item and seller

I like the look of them ..and they work really well… but quite a small pot to actually put the salt & pepper in looks like you get the whole silver bit but it’s only the little clear compartment.. also each one needs 4x AA batteries ..

I am on my 3rd set of these as I like them when they work! Within days they break. The batteries need saloptaping in place and they just don’t work. Feel ripped off for what we paid and have gone back to non battery grinders!

Lovely to handle they look good. Would highly reccomend

Est-il possible pour un prix aussi raisonnable de pouvoir disposer de deux moulins de qualité ? La réponse est oui !Oui car aussi incroyable que cela puisse paraître, la qualité est vraiment au rendez-vous, les deux moulins fonctionnent à merveille sans se bloquer comme le Peugeot (beaucoup plus cher) dont je disposais auparavant. La finition genre acier brossé est du plus bel effet et illuminera votre cuisine ou votre table.Lorsqu’on active le moulin, un éclairage sympa émane du dessous.Une petite plaque en plastique est à apposer sur le fond du moulin après utilisation pour éviter que du poivre ou du sel ne se répande.Etant donné que chaque moulin utilise 4 piles crayon, l’ensemble est assez lourd mais on s’y habitue rapidement.Au final, un rapport qualité/prix assez exceptionnel pour cet article que je recommande sans la moindre hésitation.
