Q: Are these really "thermal" or ceramic core as stated? Cause from the picture reviews these look all plastic with velcro

OMGGGGGGG!!! These things almost ripped my hair off my head! It grabs your hair, and you cannot get it off! Don't waste your money! There's nothing thermal about it! I was so upset after I finally got it off my hair that I tossed it in the trash. I didn't even bother getting my money back!!

Q: Are these for use on wet or dry hair?

I used on wet hair they worked great

Q: can you use these to hold curls made with a curling iron?

No. That wouldn’t work at all. Putting the rollers in and taking them out would ruin any curls you made with a curling iron. Basically it’s redundant.

Q: Is the velcro on platic or aluminum?

The Velcro is on metal. I must tell you the Velcro grip is so severe that I had to yank and pull my hair out of the rollers and as a result wound up with a lot of broken hair. I returned those rollers and purchased Conair SelfGrip Assorted Rollers. The Velcro is on plastic and does a great job of gently gripping my hair so that it holds my hair in place without damaging it.
