Have a second way of testing
I bought this kit when upgrading my marine tank to a bigger tank with corals and after seeing positive reviews on Facebook forums. When I tested my kh a few times issuing eq kit it read 2.8 to 3.5. This seemed very low so i did a water changes over the next 3 to 4 weeks and the test was still the same so I decided to start dosing kh buffer. The value still didn't rise very much so I asked again on the Facebook forum and looked at the spec of my salt and decided the kit may be faulty. Luckily I had a salifert kit which I used and the result came back 10.5. !! Why should I trust one kit over the other? Well 3 is ridiculously low especially when doing regular water changes with a good quality salt. ( instant ocean) as the level should be near enough what the spec of the salt is. I only have a few small coral frags so there's no depletion as yet. So it all points to the fact that the red sea kit is wrong for kh at least. Trouble is i don't trust the other readings now.

The inner moulded shell was all broken and it just looked like the bottles were thrown in like an old shoe ...
For a product from such a company as Red Sea I was staggered to see the contents just bundled into a box with an insert that was not designed to take these bottles. The inner moulded shell was all broken and it just looked like the bottles were thrown in like an old shoe box. I spent forty pounds on this and would have expected better. The test kits themselves are probably very good but when you put away the bottles you would want them to at lease be able to store them upright and securely. The moulded shell is not designed to take the various size bottles and you end up having to just "Fit them where you can". Very dissapointed.

Easy to read instructions and test results
Good quality product, good clear laminated cards, easy to red. Very good clear concise instructions. I've taken a star off as when I opened it the clips were broken which hold the glass vials so now they just free sit in the container which is a bit of a pain as the rattle around and fall out when I open the box. Not sure how this could have been done in transit though, looks like it was done when it was being put together and the contents slotted into the box originally. It's an annoyance at it cost 40 odd pound so I expect it to be perfect but as I said before, great product.

Very happy. All
After carrying out lots of research on testing kits I came across the Red Sea range. Being a chemist I was pleasantly surprised how Red Sea have considered how to make a test kit that is accurate, and user friendly. I now trust that the results are accurate. I couldnt say the same for api. Very happy. All

Good set for start up. Would be nice if you could buy a set with phosphate.
One test was hard to get accurate match. You have to pick the nearest colour/ value. Red Sea Pro tests are easy to use. They are a cost more. I wish I had purchased the Algae set, nitrite/ nitrate, Phosphate. Used with No3 Po4 X will keep Algae away, and keep the water safe for fish.

Good but you’ll need google
Expensive but worth it. How to read the results are a little confusing as you’re not given a card to tell you what the bad or good levels are...

Brilliant kit
Brilliant kit. Easy to use. There are simple instructions on the cards and more detailed ones on the leaflet. Perfect readings as it was my first time of using I got my local fish shop to verify. Highly recommend.

I’m dyslexic so things like this are hard to understand but after reading through it twice I finally got it. Works well I think but iv not used another test kit to compare.
