Hydraulic Shock Absorber Removal Tool Car Claw Ball Head Suspension Separator Swing Arm Strut Spreader Hand Tools

I bought this to take the struts out of the hubs on the front of my BMW 635d, and in seconds, I had both struts free of the hubs sitting on the workshop floor, whereas I'd percevered for an hour with fox wedges and a hammer to no avail. I was worried at this pricepoint it might be made of cheese, and buckle at the first turn of a spanner on it, but it surprised mw with how easy it made separating the hub collars on my BMW look. Although, in fairness, this model of beemer has aluminium hubs/uprights, I wonder how it will fair against something made with steel hubs/uprights? But for me, this tool was a revalation, and worth every penny and then some.

Don't know why I didn't buy this earlier. Doesn't work on all vehicles but when it does makes the job a lot quicker highly recommend to have in your tool box

Easy to use. You need to use both hands to use effectively, one to operate the 17mm bolt, and the other to hold onto the unit with an open 17mm spanner to stop it front rotating out

Easy to fit and use, makes the splitting of shock absorber mounts so much easier and gives you greater control.Tool is manually operated, via a socket or spanner
