Impressive looking
This really does look as good as the Amazon page pictures. It could make a great gift for someone. I also think this would make a fantastic charcuterie board for a party. It has barely any smell except a faint odor of wood right out of the package. I am very sensitive to chemical smells and this has none, which is great. As a cutting board it works great for long items like baguettes or leeks because of its width. Its depth is not nearly as great and would probably be a challenge for cutting things like a winter squash, watermelon or large roast which are big and round. Cheese, most veggies and fruit cut great on this board and then it can be used as a serving tray.It has a hole in the handle for hanging it. That is probably the best option for storage as its dimensions could be a challenge for some cupboards. It is definitely worth finding a spot for though as it is really nice.

Great board, but price and finishing don't align.
4 out of 5….* I only rate exceptional products 5 stars.* Although very nice, not exceptional.* Beautiful grain.* Non-rounded corners.* Over priced. An exquisite looking cutting board that doubles as a charcuterie board. Unfortunately, I think it’s overpriced. The value of a product is not completely comprised of quality. It would be easy to give this a solid 5 stars, but ultimately, when spending an exceptional amount of money, one expects exceptional quality. This board, in this area, is a little lacking. I took a quick peak at their website, and although it is in Italian (or something else, whatever it is, I don’t speak or read it!), they do have an English section. The package and Amazon indicate it is teak, but the website states Olive wood. My guess is it is in fact teak. They do disclose that every piece is hand made and to expect a unique product every time. I can verify that this is the case as this is our second piece. The first piece was split right down the middle and brought up some concerns regarding quality control and manufacturing. The later photos are of the new board. This piece is absolutely beautiful, as you can see in the pictures. My concerns come with price and finishing. The edges are not rounded, and this may seem like a small complaint, but the overall feel suffers for it. I don’t feel my expectations were met. I have very nicely finished teak cutting boards that I spent significantly less on that are finished better. Maybe the cost is indicative of its sustainability, if so, I leave it to you to decide what is the best value. At this price range (at the time of ordering close to $40) I expected a highly finished board and don’t think I got it. Nevertheless, it is very beautiful and a functional cutting board. It has a very deep routed grove to catch juices. This is uncommon and normally the groove is far too shallow. It does present well and I think its length does it service as a wonderful charcuterie board. It has been sanded and oiled well, though there does seem to be a wood defect they filled with something. It won’t negatively affect the usage or durability, but does go to show material quality. At this price I would expect a more selective process when choosing raw materials. In short, this would be an exceptional value and product if it were 20%-30% cheaper.4 stars because,1. Beautiful end grain teak. This looks fantastic, could feel better and have a more selective raw material process.2. Final finish process is so so. The sanding and oiling are outstanding, but unless there is some reason they don’t use a router to round the corners, I can’t imagine why they didn’t. It makes it feel less finished and almost sharp against your hands.3.Would be 5 stars if 30% cheaper. I feel they need to re-think wood selection and finishing if they want to charge premium prices.Overall, great teak cutting board that pulls double duty. Probably needs to be cheaper.

Long Handle Can Make This A Bit Long For Some Uses, But I Like It
I roast coffee. To do that, I need a place to put my air roasting machine. It is pretty small footprint, so I don't need a huge breadboard. This is the perfect width for my unit, so I can put the top on the back of it and the other parts I need on the board as well as I use it.HOW THIS COMESThis comes wrapped in plastic. It was shipped in a simple white plastic mailer, though. No cushioning.SIZEAlthough I got this for my coffee roaster, I also got it for those times when we want to cut vegetables or things for dinner and we don't have a large space cleared. It is great for that tooUSEFUL?I flip this over so that the liquid runways are on the back when roasting coffee, but when using this to cut vegetables or for other food prep, the crevices to catch the juices work well. This board works great as a cutting board and looks good too.STORAGEIf you plan to hang this up, you will need a long spot to hang it from. The handle adds quite a bit of length to the board.THE BOTTOM LINEI like this board. It is long and slim which is what I wanted. It also makes a great cheese/veg board for serving snacks from.MY RATINGFIVE STARS. I like this a lot. It is very useful and despite the REALLY long handle, it still works well for what I want it for.
