Exactly what it's supposed to be.

They say they're for heavy books, so I tested them with Stephen King. Can't go wrong there.These are nicely made. Not as thick or heavy as I assumed they would be. But the wood is beautiful, and the metal tongue is padded on the bottom with 4 stick-on pads to protect your bookcase. I think it would be better if there was one pad covering the whole tongue part. With one book on the tongue, I leaned two over against it and it slid; with two on it, it did not fall or slide. The design works, and it looks very nice. That's about all I can think of to say. One star off because I have a feeling that the little pads will fall off over time, and you'll need to get more at the dollar store.

I ordered these TALL wooden bookends to subdue some of my medical books that are meaningful to me. There are FIVE of them including “CUNNINGHAM’S ATLAS of ANATOMY” that was my GoTo through med school in the PG (Pre-GOOGLE!) days of medical education. Nice bookends, but it clearly says on the selection 3 pack, but then the subscription says 1. Very misleading, as it comes across as 1 has 3 sets in it. Not sure $20 for a set of bookends is a great price, considering you can find cheaper. Disappointed in the advertising.

These are terrific for a lot of reasons, the wood finish is nice and vintage looking and they are able to deal with bigger and heavier books than most so they have decent functionality as bookends. We found them to be a nice sturdy addition to the home library

These are fine bookends if you ignore the claim that they are for heavy books. These are fairly lightweight bookends. They are good quality for their size. These will hold up large hardback books that essentially stand up on their own. They do not hold up large paperback books that tend to slump and slide. For regular sized books, these bookends are good. They are very minimalistic. They are thin and barely noticeable looking straight on at the book titles. Unless you are using them on the visible end of a shelf or desk, you can find bookends of equal or better qualities for less money.

These bookends are solidly built! The books we put on the shelf were not heavy enough to hold it down well, so I drilled a couple holes and screwed it to the end of the self. The steel was quite thick and hard to drill, which implies these are well made. The wood grain pattern looks nice and matched our floating shelf's pattern quite well. Definitely a nice addition to keep everything from falling off the end.

Listing states 3 pack, only one showed up. It's a quality product but I would like the other two sent to me.
