Some reviews had mentioned staining, and the inside of the box did have some tiny dark smudges where it was in contact with the wood, so I washed the comb well with soap and water before using it. No visible amount of stain rinsed off in the process, and the color of the comb didn't change, so there's clearly no issue with excessive or poorly applied stain, but I'd still recommend this step on principle to remove any excess stain/treatments before using this (or any new tool) on your hair. The make of the comb seems great. It's one solid piece of wood, the grain is real (not stamped on) and very pretty, and I love how it looks beautiful in a simple way instead of falling into either the girlishly ornate or super plain-looking categories the way most wood combs do. Also it's not just sanded on the outside edges to look nice; the teeth are nice and smooth on the inside faces as well, and nothing has snagged my hair at all.It's actually quite nice to hold, as handle-less haircare tools go. I have some mild nerve issues in my hands that affect grasping, and normally I'd get something with a handle but I wanted something more compact for this purpose, and the size and shape of this comb hits a fantastic balance for me. It's small and lightweight, yet it's thick enough and rests firmly enough in my hand that I can clearly feel it there and don't have to grip too tightly to keep it from slipping, and the curved shape is very comfortable. I can use it really effectively without having to me super attentive, instead of fighting a constant battle between having things slip out of my hands versus gripping too tightly and having pain. That's not an easy happy medium for me to find. Because of that, and especially since it feels like the product is sturdy and won't easily break, I'd say this is probably a great option for other people with grasping issues if they want a comb in this handle-less style.I have long hair that's generally straight but I like to bring out waves in it, and this tool is AWESOME for combing without losing whatever waves I've got that day. The balance is just right for me; the teeth are wide enough to leave and even help define the waves, but fine enough to really clean up my "I haven't brushed this since it dried" frizzy look and make my hair look finished and intentional. I needed something small for brushing on the go anyway (this is just right to fit in a small makeup bag), and I wanted to try wood combs already after learning how they're helpful for static issues, so I'm very glad I tried this product to tick off both of those boxes. The claims about wood combs not causing static are TOTALLY TRUE. My hair is very fine and I live in Denver so I've gotten to use this in our super dry environment and also try it on humid days, and I didn't think ANY comb or brush could possibly be a static-free experience, but it really is like magic. I'll never use a plastic comb again outside of the shower.A regular brush is a necessity once in a while of course, that's life, but I'm officially converted; I'm going to make wood combs my default tool now (when I'm not using a boar-bristle brush on purpose). This was a great one to start out with, and I'm hooked! I tend to use things pretty roughly and drop/break things often, but at this price point, if I do eventually manage to break this awesome little comb, I'm sure it'll be after I've gotten enough use out of it that it will be worth repurchasing. This is also something I'll definitely be using as a gift item in the future. It's inexpensive, does its job well, and has just the right amount of extra elegance and craftsmanship and artful shaping about it to feel a little luxurious. I'd recommend it for sure.

I bought these curlers based off of a friend's recommendation, and they did not disappoint! I love that the colors help identify which way the curl will go (away from face or towards the face), which allows for better placement and a more natural curl pattern.The curlers were super easy to put in, even my husband, who is basically hair illiterate, managed to pick it up by the second curl with minimal guidance. I do recommend putting the curlers in with barely damp hair with light curl products (to help set curls, tame frizz, etc), especially if you have naturally frizz prone hair (like me).Since the curlers are so easy to place, you can definitely put the curlers in on your own, but for precises placement, a second set of hands is a BIG help. Once they're in, these curlers stay put throughout the night. My hair is super fine/thin, so that's a real winning point for me!!When I removed the curlers in the morning, the curls I was left with were well defined, low/no frizz, and lasted all day. This is an absolute game changer for me!!As an aside, we purchased the longer curlers, so that I could share with my daughter. These still worked for my shoulder length fine hair and also managed my daughter's middle-of-the-back longer, super thick hair just as well.Also, when we finished setting my heads we still had plenty (almost half) of the curlers. So, depending on the size of the person's head (mine is on the larger side), and the person's hair density, you may be able to get two full heads out of one purchase!The only downside I noticed was the plastic/chemical smell when I first opened the container, which disappeared after airing out the curlers. Also, I was not able to get the curlers back into their original packaging, so they now live in a plastic bag.9.5/10 would recommend.

Overall I really like this comb! I've had fine toothed peachwood combs that are great, but I wanted to branch out and replace them with a more travel friendly option. I've ordered 2 so far!This comb is DEFINITELY:• Sturdy! It is TOUGH, I've had combs break because of long term use on my hair, and this will definitely do the job for years to come.• Gentle! The wide teeth will help detangle hair. It's very gentle and will not rip/tear out hair. Holding the comb vertically and teasing out tangles by the edge of the comb helps amazingly!• Travel friendly! I LOVE the size of the comb! The comb also comes with a small cardboard box. In the past I have had the teeth of combs broken because of them getting snagged in things in my bag. I believe this comb will not break so easily, but I travel with it in the box included just in case and they both hold up great.My ONLY gripe is that when I first bought the comb, I noticed a stickiness when handling it (it was probably the wood finishing on the comb). The stickiness was more apparent when I would brush my hair while damp. I've noticed that while I brush my hair wet, some brown residue will come off and get stuck in the comb. As of now, the wood finishing on the comb is starting to wear away. It's not a huge issue to me, but I wonder how the comb will continue to perform once much of the wood finishing is gone.

I got these after a friend recommended them to me. I was hesitant as first that they might rip out my hair when removing them but they didn't! They are comfortable to sleep in but they can pull a little when moving around but that isn't a product issue merely a placement issue. The only real issue I had with the product was the stick used to feed the hair through the curlers is stuck and I can't unhook it.A big upside to this product is that it came is a nice compact container for easy storage and transport!
