Super crop
I just dug in a couple of bags of rotted manure a few weeks before planting. Sowed half in empty toilet roll tubes and half directly into the ground. Virtually all germinated. Grew up 7/8ft bamboo canes and hey presto hundreds of runner beans. Nice job ! Easy peasy ! Or should I say easy beany !

Flowers are magnet for all kinds of bees and butterflies!
Shipped quickly to France as they dont sell runner beans over here, where I started them off in peat pots and planted in a big raised bed, they grew 8 feet tall and were an absolute magnet for all kinds of bees and butterflies. I've just cut them down in late November and am saving the final batch for planting next year. Excelent!
