Great deal!
Love the extra step in the packaging. 4 packets = a little over $1.50 or so for each. Lots of seeds. Excited to plant them. Thank you!

Started seedlings indoors.
As it’s winter, I’ve started the seeds indoors. Even with a grow light to warm the soil, they took longer to sprout than the package stated. The majority, however, have sprouted.

Beautiful cool weather flowers
It's too early for to evaluate these seeds, but Gardener Basics has been a reliable brand so I expect that this pack is no different. Cosmos are very easy to grow and need zero maintenance besides watering. In return, they'll reward you with rich eye-popping color well into the fall. Where I am (zone 6A), buds were still actively forming even up until before Thanksgiving. If not for the freezing nights, I'd still have flowers now.Cosmos are not bothered by deer much unless other food sources run low, like in the late fall Or at least that's how it is here in my area but your mileage will vary.I have the purple cosmos from a different seed mix and must say, they are are a gorgeous color. The only thing I wish for in this pack is more variety besides the common pinks and purples -- like orange and red. I love the white one though.

Cosmos are fun and easy to grow
For some reason, I can't be bothered to grow vegetables, but I started working on flowers last year, and it was very rewarding. So I am already making plans for my 2023 garden. (Well, okay, I know why I can't be bothered with vegetables... they need a lot more tending to keep pests away, etc.) I want to get perennials established, but the cosmos I got in 2022 from this company were lovely and easy to grow. So here we go again! As near as I can tell, different varieties of cosmos grow to different heights, so I'm not sure what to predict here. I don't think any of these are exactly what I got last year. But my pink cosmos grew to over 5 feet tall, and the white to nearly 4 feet. My impression is that they will tolerate a variety of soils, but maybe end up shorter in less fertile soil. (Although I didn't do much to amend my soil, I think a previous homeowner must've fertilized the spot I planted the cosmos, because they really took off there.)The Gardeners Basics seeds I got in 2022 did well, so I'm getting them again this year.

good seeds, but packet information could be improved
I am looking to add more flowers to my backyard next season. With so many choices available (often at high prices), I appreciate that Gardeners Basics seeds are budget friendly, and I believe they are a good value at the time of this review. The seeds are non-GMO, open pollinated and non-hybrid, which is exactly what I wanted. The seeds arrived sealed in a sturdy plastic bag (that is recloseable and can be used for storage). The seeds inside are as advertized, and there were also seed markers included. The directions on the packets are clear, but not extensive and could be improved.- all seed packets could use 'best by' (or harvest) date: seeds tend to perform better when fresh.- all seed packets could use the average height and spread of the plants (it only shows planting depth and spacing). Cosmos vary in height - from a mere 12 to 72 inches, so it's important to state how tall these varieties are- only Sensation mix states that to help seeds germinate they need to be soaked for 24 hours. Do other cosmos seeds need the same treatment - or not - because it doesn't say so on the packet?- are any of these deer or rabbit resistant?- all packets say "Direct sow" (in "start indoors" area), but don't actually tell you WHEN to direct sow!- the yellow Purity cosmos packet has areas where they have white text on yellow background: the contrast in those areas is not enough for the text to be readable.I received these seeds at the end of October - a good time to plant some flowers, but the packets say nothing about fall planting (for spring germination), USDA growing zones, or whether the seeds need stratification. The outer packaging suggests keeping the seeds in the fridge or freezer, but it looks like all Gardeners Basics seed packs I got were packaged in the same bags, so it doesn't necessarily mean that these seeds would like being refrigerated. The packets state the weight (800 mg) but it doesn't really tell me how many seeds are inside or how big of an area they could cover. With those considerations in mind, I am rating them 4 stars (good, with room for improvement in what's printed on the packets).I will update my review with pictures of what actually grows from these seeds, following packet directions, direct sowing in spring.

Great variety
It will be exciting when summer comes around and these cosmos can be planted in the backyard. Having fresh-cut flowers in the home brings such color and a warm, cozy home feel. After these flowers are blooming in the backyard, this post will have to be updated on the flowers that come up.

Cosmos Seeds
I received these after the growing season had ended. That’s sad since I love Cosmos. I can’t wait to plant these! They even came with labels.
