Raw and real - what your textbooks don't cover
Purchased this after recently re-reading Prerna Singh Bindra's The Vanishing. While not quite at that level of magical writing, At the Feet of Living Things nonetheless takes you to the last of India's wildlife and habitat bastions. You'll read personal accounts of successes tempered with uncertainty, shifting human-wildlife interactions, about hornets snow leopards, dugongs and more - from the Himalayas to the Lakshadweep Islands. If nothing else, the riveting realities laid out in this book should inspire urban dwellers to approach urban biodiversity conservation more appropriately.

A true delight
A really well written book with a wide variety of wildlife and conservation issues feature in it. Each of the stories are vivid with details and description of the landscape, flora and fauna and most importantly the people living in those biodiverse environments. Highly recommended for nature enthusiasts but almost anyone would find this book enjoyable regardless of their interests.
