This is going to be a general pomade review which consist the product it self, other substitute products on the market, the delivery and how to properly apply and wash off.Overall I would give 4/5 starshere is whyOk so where do I start...This is a oil based product so if you are not a fan of some shine then look for others. Like a Matt product perhaps.If you are looking for some reliable product (amazing hold) with minimal scents that is not overly priced then this is it. (Very slow delivery, 5 days in my case but I personally don’t mind)However if you like a stronger smell or something easier to rinse off then perhaps choose something else like Reuzel green, goon grease or even a water based.Lastly, how do you apply and wash this off...For the applying part,you simply towel dry your hair, do not fully dry, till it is damp. As long as there’s no water dripping and it’s still damp, get some product on your hands and start rubbing them evenly. Run your fingers through your hair and it’s done. Comb it or not it’s up to you.For the washing off part,Rinse with hot water, once it’s fully wet and warm, apply 3 pumps of hair conditioner, continue your shower routine meanwhile wait for at least 3 minutes. Rinse it off and wash your hair with shampoo of your choice.If you do not have hair conditioner at home, it may be very difficult to wash it off but do not warry, you still can use some dish soap.But if you do not intend to purchase any kind of conditioner, do not buy this product. It will take 4 days to wash it off by shampoo alone.

I've tried a lot of popular water based pomades over the years to hold my slick back hairstyle in place, and I've never been completely happy with any of them. Furthermore, I was always very wary about transitioning to petroleum based pomades due to their infamous reputation for being supposedly near impossible to get out of your hair, and talk of people resorting to unconventional methods such as using dish soap to get it out.I am so glad I took the plunge, I have been using Murray's pomade for many months now, and am currently on my 2nd of the 3oz containers and I am 100% happy with how this keeps my hair in place, regardless of whether their is huge rainstorm outside or winds that can knock you off of your feet, it does not move at all.I go to bed without washing it out, and usually end up having to apply a little more the following morning due to the hold wearing off overnight, on top of this I only wash my hair once a week. Needless to say when it comes time to wash my hair I likely have a lot of this stuff in my hair in relative comparison to another user, and I can say that I have never had an issue getting this stuff out, all I do is wash my hair with shampoo as normal, but I leave the shampoo in my hair for a couple of minutes before rinsing it out, which loosens it up and gets it all out smoothly.*I recommend applying a strong grade 5 hold hairspray on top for extra firm hold.

Without a doubt the best pomade I have used in terms of creating a slick style or combing all day long. However, as this is an oil based product it is an absolute nightmare to wash out and requires a ton of shampoo to get it out of your hair and off your hands. If you don't mind spending a little more on a good cleansing shampoo then this is great.Great for slick styles such as a pompadour, slicked back, side parted and so on. Tip: buy murray's hair glo in addition to this and mix together as it waters it down making it thinner and easier to manage.

I bought this stuff to waterproof my walking boots , believe it or not it works ! there is a you tube video showing how to apply it to your boots .Delivery was fast and included a packet of Love hearts ( thank you Vicky ) I did my boots and then tried it on my hair .I have thick black hair and wear it swept straight back ( old fashioned I know ) but at 6 ft 7 and a Clint Eastwood ( young Clint Eastwood ) lookalike I look stupid with a centre part or any of the recent modern styles .It holds my hair great don't put too much on and it works a treat , and it washes off no problemo .So now I got waterproof boots and a waterproof head ! .

Smells good, and gets the desired wave pattern started

I have extremely thick wavy hair and this is the only product I have been able to rely on for a full day's hold. I have found that it can only be applied to wet or towel dried hair, and can be difficult to get out, but the fact that it offers great versatilty in terms of styling and reliable hold makes it an excellent product.

Holds hair in a very good shape and it can be easily reshaped without needing to wet it but it is very very hard to wash out so once it's in your hair accept that it's in there for a while even if you wash your hair it will still be there. But great hold, amazing smell and amazing value.
