The Pink House: The heartwarming and escapist holiday romance from the Sunday Times bestselling author

A bright sunny read
A bunch of characters I did not really engage with. However, a good summer beach read. Light, cheery and bright.

A bit disappointing
I normally love Catherine Alliott's books, but this is not up to her usual standard. Characters lacked depth and I found I wasn't really bothered what happened to them. I agree with previous reviews some of the plot lines were a bit too convenient. Here's hoping the author returns to her usual standard with her next book.

Up to usual standard from Catherine Alliott.

Not one of her best but still enjoyable in places
Would have been nice to see more focus on Rory and hear more about their past relationship. A bit convenient was Hugh's affair at the end - it gave Emma carte blanche to for what she really wanted whilst keeping the approval of the reader for her actions. Life is rarely this simple!

Can't put her books down. The writing is the best.
This is a more serious book than usual. However the writing is the best, it's a grownup chic lit.

Not her best!
Really wanted to like this one - It started off fine, but then got a bit boring and predictable.
