I think these are the most comfortable shoes I've ever owned. They look good too!

I've worn Clarks shoes for nearly 50 years and always find them to be well-presented, high-quality and consistently sized. I was attracted to the 'Funny Dream' range not by their rather strange name but from having their earlier predecessors, the Polyveldts back in the early 1980s. They were quite innovative in their day and I remember how they were almost impossible to wear out. These 'Funny Dream' successors are made from thick, high quality leather and the same spongy rubber soles which are so comfortable to walk in on any surface and particularly hard floors where every step is cushioned. Although they don't have grooved tread on the sole, they are non-slip so can be happily worn on a polished floor or staircase with no danger of skidding - or even on a wet floor.This black pair are made from lightly grained thick black leather and are unlined. There's a cushioned inner sole and, following a few wears, this moulds itself to the shape of your feet and there's a further cushioned pad beneath the heel. They are comfortable straight from the box with no need to break them in.I was once told that shoes with the upper stitched externally onto the sole are the most sturdy and durable shoes - and this was certainly the case for the earlier Polyveldts and all the signs so far, suggest the same for these 'Funny Dream' successors.Definitely recommended. They're not the cheapest shoes but they last for years.

Great shoe's, a blast fron the 80s when I was at school in the 80s these were very popular shoe's. Back then they were called pasty's very comfortable hard-wearing shoe's. Really pleased I have been able to get hold of a pair. Now I'm in my 50s and on my feet at work all day. Again a soft leather. Hard-wearing sole. A small wedge of a heal. I can run, walk fast. Stand for long periods without my feet ankles swelling.

I have been getting these shoes for years now. To me they are brilliant. I had a foot condition called Plantar Fasciitis and was in a lot of pain. After being advised to wear good quality lace up shoes I bought Funny Dream from Clarks. They have 'cured' my foot problem and I would and have recommended them to others. They are so so comfortable, especially when you spend a lot of time on your feet. Couldn't be happier with my footwear.

Amazing flash back to the eighties and school, so comfortable for wearing all day, can't wait to put them on and get going. Great quality

I have been a loyal Clarks customer for years, and my last purchase—nearly eight years ago—was a testament to the brand's quality. I wore that pair almost daily, and while the exterior showed natural wear, the inner soles remained intact and supportive.However, my most recent purchase from last November has been a huge disappointment. Despite being worn for only a short period, the inner part of the shoe has already started to fold, making walking uncomfortable. This is a stark contrast to my previous experience with Clarks, and I am deeply disappointed in the apparent decline in quality. Given my long history with the brand, I expected better durability and craftsmanship.
