I bought these horns for a christmas present, one to give and one to keep. The one i kept is now leaking. A small piece of something popped out of the side of it and now it leaks. I have used it 4 times... very disappointed... hope the other one doesn't leak...

I always wanted to buy myself a fancy drinking horn mug and this was like a gift to myself and my spouse. I planned to binge watch GOT with my partner while sipping beer from our tankards. It was one of a kind experience. The best part about buying this was that the viking mugs came in a pair of two plus it came exactly as I expected them to come. Cleaner inside & exotic appearance. Large in size, can definitely hold a pint of beer. No odor. No leakage. Quiet sturdy & would definitely recommend gifting these viking mugs to a Game of Thrones fan, they will be overjoyed by this. Very satisfied with the purchase.

disappointed, one smells heavily of lacquer, even after washing, smell wont go away.

Although these mugs have an interesting shape and appear to be in decent condition they were not sealed properly.When I received these mugs I rinsed them lightly and then took them with me to my Renaissance festival event. Upon putting cold water in one of the mugs it immediately tasted of a heavy perfume and my plain water Tates horrible. I do not know what type of sealant was used on the inside of this mug but it is definitely not of a food grade quality. The mouth of the mug is so narrow that I cannot use my regular washing tools such as scrub brushes or sponges. Even my small mug and bottle brush wouldn't fit. I will have to purchase a baby bottle scrubber and see if that helps. However I am now reluctant to use this for actual drinking. If I can find a way to seal it myself properly then I will use it in the future. However at this point I'd say it is a smarter choice to shop around and pay a little more to make sure that you purchase an item that has been properly sealed with a food grade sealant that you can actually use for holding drinkable beverages.I'm giving this three stars simply for having a nice authentic look and feel to it. However I do not recommend using it for drinking!

For the price these mugs are really not worth it. The handle are so easy to crack. I open the box to cracked handles and what feels like a kids cup.
