Does the job but...... if the postman tries to push a firm item through the letterbox it comes away from the door when you use the velcro for fitting. Brass hooks are supplied as an alternative.

My 10 year old 8kg cavachon loves to bark and used try to grab the post as it came through the door. Now she can only bark, I got this as I didn't want the postman getting nipped, it's better to be safe, than landed up with having to go collect my post, or even worse postman having his fingers nipped or bitten.

Although it is thinner than others in the market, it looks neat. I don't have any problem emptying it once a month. However, I need to modify it a bit (quite easily) to fit my door, maybe you don't have to.

I chose this letterbox design because I thought it looked nicer on our white door than a big metal cage, but I didn’t give enough thought to how robust the felt-like material would actually be in the face of our small dog’s absolute hatred for the postman and the ‘invading’ letters.At first she was perplexed by this letter box cover and it was a good deterrent but once our dog figured out the post was going inside it she ripped it off the door and tore into it. Sadly we’ll need to resort to an ugly post box cage while we train her.We need to buy a call
