I'm very pleased with this set. It's top notch! I purchased this set to add a personal touch, considering I usually do the wrapping, I was getting bored with the typical Christmas paper. So, Why this set? 1. Everything you need to create a beautiful personalized stamp is included.2. I found this set to be inexpensive considering what your getting. 3. Ease of use, I personally believe in going the extra mile. This set makes it happen. 4. Quality of materials, nothing in this set feels cheap. Specifically the brass stamper - it's beautifully detailed and heavy. The wax melts nicely, not watery at all. The spoon has the adequate length you won't feel it getting warm. I used my own t-light because I had it available. This way I can keep the original set together, not certain if that makes any sense but that's just me.Overall, I couldn't be anymore pleased. I'm pretty crafty for a guy but this is my first time and I find my stamp acceptable. I purchased this kit with my own funds no discount or freebies here, at this time I do recommend this set, take the time and make someone feel that much more special, after all, we are all here on borrowed time. I've been wanting a wax seal kit for awhile I just needed the right one. My first and last name start with S so this is perfect. The border and crown are lovely especially for a woman(but not gender exclusive). The box look like a small bible it's dark brown and dense closed only by a ribbon. The spoon is silver and very sturdy the two small candles are a decent size to do what they are placed in this kit for. The wax candles don't have wicks so you must cut them and use the spoon. The gold is a deep yellow gold and swirly the silver is a bright metal silver swirly as well and the red is a dark Crimson completely matte(solid) no swirly or sheen at all. The stamp itself had a heavy handle and deeply embossed and gold. Easy to hold, carry and use.Update: I used it for the first time today and it was perfect! I cut a small piece of all three put it in the spoon and melted it. If it starts to boil/bubble then it's too hot move spoon upward away from the flame it doesn't have to sit on top of the flame to melt. When chunks are melted remove spoon from fire allow the bubbling to stop before pouring otherwise you'll mess up the stamp itll be sticky and smudged. Pour in the middle first then go around the edges to create a perfect circle. Let sit for 5 seconds then gentle place your seal stamp in the center of the circle. I just set it down and let it stay for a full minute. Then for the first time I applied pressure when taking it off I grabbed the handle pushed it all the way down and then pulled it straight up and this is what I got. By the way when you mix the red with the gold and silver it looks magenta. But on its own looks like a true dark red.

This beautiful, full size wax seal kit arrives in a sturdy box that looks like a book and can be tied shut with the attached ribbons. The individual pieces are held in place by a flocked, molded plastic liner. You get two tea lights in aluminum shells,a wax melting spoon and three full size, no wick (duh) sealing waxes in red, silver and gold. The seal has a smooth, polished wood turned handle that is comfortable to use. The seal head is brass and is cleanly engraved. The engraving is detailed and deep enough to leave a crisp impression and smooth enough that there is no sticking. Unfortunately for me, my set arrived during hot weather and sat in a delivery truck for most of the day. The tealights melted all over the interior of the box and marred the looks of the outside of the box. Since this set was for me, I'm keeping it. If you were buying this as a gift or need a pristine box, I'd suggest waiting for cool weather so you can avoid the melted wax mishap I encountered. I wish Samyo sold just the seals on Amazon...they're great quality and I already have my own preferences for sealing wax, so I don't need the whole set.

This is something I bought to put away for next Christmas for my two girls. I bought two. It’s really nice and the wax seal stamp is a nice weight too. All in all this is terrific for the price!

I bought this as a present for someone! The quality of the stamp seemed to be nice. However, my friend told me that they watched multiple videos on how to properly make wax seal, but it just wasn’t working out for him. I think that the quality of the wax itself may be an issue.

Wow!!! I have never used a wax stamp kit before and this one absolutely exceeded my expectations! Some reviews said the packaging was damaged so I was scared mine would come so, but it was beautifully packaged and wrapped in bubble wrap for safety (I’d like to note, if your package comes damaged please don’t blame the seller, it could be the fault of the people who handled your package)My candles came a little melted, however that’s probably the fault of hot weather and not the seller, and the candles still worked perfectly fine for their purpose so I’m not bothered about it. The design on the stamp is absolutely beautiful!! And I decided to practice this kit on a notecard before using it on letters I’m going to write to my new pen pal (whom I have a bit of a crush on) and I thought it would be hard since I’m stamping the wax over pressed flowers and I’ve never done this before, but I succeeded my first and every try so far!!! It’s extremely easy to use!! 100% recommend this kit ESPECIALLY for the price!!!

I like the fact that it came in a beautiful cardboard presentation box with a ribbon tie on the side. It is beautiful. The wax seal works fine. I've used it for three thank-you notes. Two were hand delivered and one was mailed yesterday. I discovered the Post Office charges 15 cents more for mailing a wax sealed letter. I paid 70 cents for mailing. However, I didn't mind as I made the card and the envelope. It looked very elegant with the seal. The only downside I can see is the wax is not made like a candle. You must break off a piece, place it in the spoon, and heat it with the tea candle.
