Tactic Mölkky in Wooden Crate

Good quality Mölkky/Finska set in a handy wooden storage crate.

As with many garden games, Mölkky is a great opportunity to have a bit of fun, and always makes any outdoor get together a little bit more interesting. At first glance it might look like garden skittles, but there's no ball; you throw the Mölkky (a cylindrical lump of wood) at the pins.The things that make Mölkky quite unique (in my experience) is:- It's very easy to set up.- The rules are simple. Knock over one pin, you get its point score. Knock over more than one, you score the number of pins you knock over.- The play field changes as the game is played. As pins are knocked over and around, you stand them up wherever they land, for the next player.- There's strategy. You need to get to 50 points exactly to win. Go over 50 points, you go back to 25. So you need to think about the layout and how to manipulate it to benefit yourself and mess up other players. So whatever you do can influence the overall game.- Anyone can play, and you can have any number of players.This particular set is weighty and sturdy, including the crate. Buy one, it'll last you for life.

Perfect game for the garden, park or beach. The only problem you will encounter, is that your grass will take a beating, as you play this game over and over again.Very easy game to set up and play, rules are included in the set. There are plenty of score cards also included, however for those that like an easier life. The Mölkky game tracker app can be downloaded, to easily keep track of everyone's score.A must have for anyone that likes an outdoor game. A great game to help children understand tactics of what pin or pins to knock over, with the inclusion of maths without them realising they are calculating what to do or attempting to do next.A simply fantastic game.

Having read the reviews, I was slightly concerned when I ordered this Mölkky set that the quality of this set wouldn’t be as good as it ought to be for the price. However, having had it a couple of weeks and played it a few times, I’m more than happy with it. Sure, there were one or two slightly rough edges on the bases of the skittles and the carrier, but they could be easily sanded away. All the numbers on the skittles were clear and of uniform colour. I’m not sure what sort of wood it is; however, it is better than pine and not as good a beech (like my Kubb set). Nevertheless it seems up to the job and nothing has split, so far at least.Equally important, it’s a fun game – even though my wife has beaten me every time so far!

Very addictive game to play at the beach or the garden. Everyone we know is now obsessed with Molkky, this is a really nice sturdy set, crate is very handy too

Product arrived on time. A good, solid set which has been used a good few times. A few dents and marks but no chips or splintering. Worth paying the extra.
