Steiff My First Teddy Bear (Pink)

How I wish I'd read the other reviews rather than just clicking away. Yes, nice little bear but some downsides: 1) no idea how the photographer for the image managed to sit the bear down as simply, it won't. It's an arms-and-legs-spread-out type of bear, so it won't sit on a shelf like a traditional bear. 2) huge issue this - the lack of adequate packaging, not even a basic paper gift bag. This arrives in a completely un-giftworthy clear plastic bag which doesn't even say Steiff anywhere. I would have expected something better than this. Now having to find something appropriate to bag/box this into before I can even wrap as a gift. On unpacking, mine had several bits of dark fluff on it so I even had to clean mine. Not ideal.

The bear was as described. It arrived very quickly. The packaging was fine for transport but as the teddy itself cane wrapped in a standard clear plastic bag, not for a present. Easy however to remedy this before gifting. Would buy again.

Excellent product, have purchased a few for newborns in the family. Not presented very well for a high quality product - came in a cheap plastic bag from which, obviously, it had to be removed.

Are these genuine Stieff bears or do Standard Trading need to unvestigate? Would such a reputable company like Stieff send out orders in a plastic bag. I do not think so, in which case they are not value for money

I've now bought 4 of these (for the grandkids of course) and they are just perfect - and much loved.

For my new grandson, bought one for my granddaughter now 2 years old wouldn't have any other.

Genuine Steiff bears come in boxes, this one came in a plastic bag.

Excellent first toy & company to deal with.
